CSS is for styling HTML. You will need to embed the SWF file in the actual HTML coding. Make sense?
Make sure you edit the CSS and not the html code on the actual page. CSS will usually overide the html coding and could cause the issue you are...
make sure the file extensions aren't capitalized. try copying the site to your system and editing the files again in dreamweaver, save and preview...

Yes, like ishkey said, it's javascript code, basically referring to variable references. Its most likely showing your IP for some purpose.

Try going to acidfonts.com and choose a really unique font. You won't get very far by using arial, times new roman or comic sans serif.
