General how do get my site online?

    i am new to building websites, and will be using this site to create my own webpage...

    ...but once i have created the webpage(s), what steps must i take to get it online?

    i have already purchased a domain name, but have no idea how to get it online. i would be really grateful if someone can give me step by step instructions :)

    You didn't say if you had a "Web Hosting Company"
    If you do they should have a "cpanel" which contains a FTP program (File Transfer Program)
    or you can use one of the stand alone software programs (Paid or Freeware).
    The FTP program allows you to see/manipulate the files, on both your PC and the Host.
    You can transfer files up and down, view,edit, make directories, etc on your "Host" just like you do on your PC.

    Your "Host" should also supply you with their specific instructions on How to use the FTP and their Login requirements.
