However, if you can understand it that is great. But if you don't it's ok. I'll give you a simplified version of editting HTML templates. Firstly to answer your questions

Somebody please teach me how to edit templates?

I'll try with my current knowledge to help.

    Any Tools I need?

Not neccessarily. You don't exactly need any tools. I personally use a HTML editor that I have on a webhoster (www.addyour.net) or a basic program that every computer has to my knowledge named 'Notepad'.

    Anything I need to learn?

    Ofcoarse, but nothing too extenisive

I am thinking of learning web designing.

I wish I had the time to learn Web Design...

Any good page to start off with teh basics of HTML and advanced stuff after that like ASP, PHP etc?

Well that I am not sure of. The basic knowledge I have is from occurances or from reading snippets in forums.

How to Edit a Template, The Easy Way!

Stepone: Go to your template folder

Steptwo: Rightclick a file named 'Index'

    Stepthree: Click 'Open With...'

Stepfour: Choose the program named 'notepad'

Stepfive: Once you have chosen it, you will see HTML. Now this is the little harder part.

Stepsix: To edit the text, look at hte HTML through notepad, now search and edit for things you want changed and etc. I know it will be hard for beginners to know what to backspace and what not to backspace but anything that looks like the text in the template that you don't want delete that. Also if you don't want your tabs to connect to this site. I think you should change all the links that say this URL www.freewebsitetemplates.com and change it to something else. You should edit the URL things that are around after the 'href' stuff. If you screw up the template it isn't my fault though I tried with the info I had to help and if something goes wrong re download it again or make copies or don't save.
