I'm new to the site and am just wanting to clear something up. I'm looking to customise the "charity" template to use for a business. Is this ok to do ? or do the free templates have to be used for non profit organisations only ? I want to make sure this is ok ?

    thankyou in advance.

i'm guessing that since there are several free templates from this site aimed at business that the above is fine ?

I cant find anywhere on the terms of use that says you can't use it for a business. So unless it says you can't on the template you decide to use or your website contains illegal content, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to use it.....

Yes, you can use the free website templates for business even if it's a for profit business.

However there are some exceptions if you are a web design company:

If you design websites for clients you have to tell them (not link) you used a free website template for the design and as stated in the terms of use:
"No materials from Free Website Templates can be resold. No items can be made part of a portfolio. "
You can however charge for the implementation, modification, hosting and/or anything else.

You also can't take credit for the design of the website.
If you so please to take credit for it with a portfolio or link to your own design company you have to add to your own credit, credit for freewebsitetemplates.com.

I know "the terms of use" is a little confusing, but I hope it's clear now.
