    Help

Is there a specific FTP Program that is easiest? If there is please post one and how to make a "Username".

Also is this the way you would edit the template to say different things? If not, how would you do it?

There's this website called www.altools.com. Go in, click Downloads, scroll down, and download ALFTP. That's what I use.

    That's it! Easy, right?

Charity template. No clue as how to use it after downloading

Would someone show me how to use Charity template?
I have tried to understand how to use it, but to no avail.

Downloaded. Got the following files: images, charity, index, style.

Opened index. Copied the codes. Cut/paste to my index.
I cannot see the color scheme of green/yellow.

I have no idea as what to do next. Feel really dumb.

Haven't a clue as to what you did, but it wasn't right. You can ftp right from FrontPage.

I update my site on a somewhat regular basis. But I do it all through IE FTP. Problem is, IE7 and FTP dont always mix very well. Plus, I personally like to keep a shortcut on my desktop for accessing the FTP. So here is a tip for others that would like an easy FTP shortcut on your desktop.
On your desktop, right click and then select "New" then select "Shortcut".
Where it has a text box labeled "Type the location of the item" insert this "explorer ftp://YOURusername:YOURpassword@domainname.com" And then Click "Next"
The next screen says "Type a name for this shortcut" Insert the name of your shortcut "My FTP" then click "Finish"
    Bingo! and ftp shortcut!

    Am I a thicky herbert?

    SO..
    I downloaded filezilla client,
I save the template I want in a file in my documents
I signed up for some free web hosting at www.webs.com

I opened filezilla, I put in my web address where it says host: blah blah blah/webs.com
put in the username and password I use for webs dot com, left where it says port blank, pressed quick connect and I can't connect to the server, keeps saying

wrong protocol something something. Am I supposed to sign up for a username and password somewhere to get to use the ****ing thing.

Can see my files on the right but nothing on the left. Am I on the right track or way off base...

    thanks

your host assigns you a username and pword. some hosts have you create an ftp site first, but I don't think that is the case here.
It maybe a Proxie setting or you may have to add the server name into the Proxie List with the proper setting. now is the time to look at your host's faq section or call them.
one more thing - the ftp might only be available with their premiun service.
