    Dear FreeTemplates,

We downloaded the following template. It comes up fine in IE. It looks like scrambled eggs in DreamWeaver MX. It also looks like a different mess in FrontPage. Any suggestions?

    Let me expand the question:

    1. What website editing software do you use to edit these free templates? Do you simply use text and display in IE? Dreamweaver and FrontPage don't display correctly. What product do you use?

    2. In this template, you are using CSS. You are using images to display text, such as "Photo Site" as a page_header. Why are you using a gif to display text? Is it faster or neater? We want it to say something other than "Photo Site". What tool do you use to create the gif image of text. Adobe is very clumsy to enter text and save as a GIF.

    3. In this template, you are using CSS. You are using images to display text, such as "Photo Site" as a page_header. But you also have text in the index.html file that calls page_header. When I edit this text, the gif image overwrites my edits and display "Photo Site". Is this text a secondary method for text only display devices?

We could use a little guidance.

I'm having the same issue. I downloaded and unzipped a template and when I tried editing in Dreamweaver MX, you can't see all of the images and some of the items are shifted. I'm guessing that it's a setting in Preferences, but not sure which one.
