Hey; As you can see from my name, this really is new to me....

First off, I only have a 30 day free trial on Dreamweaver 8, so If there's any way I can do this without using Dreamweaver, that would be best.

So basically, I downloaded a template from the site, and uploaded the HTML document into freewebs. Now when I go to edit it in freewebs, there is JUST the plain text, NO background colour, NO borders, no anything apart from simple text.

I have tried uploading the HTML document from Dreamweaver into Freewebs and the same thing happens.

Can someone please explain to me how I can upload and edit the pages onto freewebs, preferably without using Dreamweaver, but if thats the only option I am going to have to buy it.

Thank you SO much for ANY help in advance; Thanks.

You have to edit the HTML first before you upload it.

You don't need Dreamweaver you can edit the text with a simple text editor or you can use NVU a free HTML editor.

When you upload the template make sure you upload the images folder and the style.css file too.

It's best that you learn a thing or 2 about HTML and CSS first:
    Learn more about HTML
    CSS Tutorials websites
You don't need to know much about HTML and CSS as you're using website templates just the basic so you can edit the templates.

rename it to style.css and change the name in the html as well.
