I love the templates here but some of them are screwey in Dreamweaver.

I searched this forum for everything on the site about dreamweaver. Apparently some other folks are having some trouble as well editing in dreamweaver. One of the resonses to posts said:

"Make sure you load the css when editing the template in Dreamweaver."

You can open a css file in the editing session and you can attach it to a particular webpage. I've done both and it has not solved the problem.

Another person posted a similar problem. The response was:

"This is normal behavior for dreamweaver. "

If this is normal behavior why do virtually all of the recomendations on this site for an editor say to use dreamweaver? Surely people don't create or modify these templates using dreamweaver with them all looking messed up and just hoping they look right in a browser.

If this is a common problem, should we use a different editor? Is it a version issue (I'm using Dreamweaver MX)? Is it a css problem?

Please don't take me wrong here. I like your site and your templates are wonderful. And it's great this community exists to help.

But since I'm not the only one having this issue, can someone provide some more detailed info as to what the specific problem is and what the specific solutions are to correct it?

    Thanks.

    UPDATE:

Appears to be a version issue.
I just upgraded to Dreamweaver 8.
Problem appears to be solved in the templates I've opened.

    Thanks for the response scoooooty.

    Hi

I've just had the same problem -- with DW4, and it's driving me nutty!!! I've upgraded to MX -- same problem. The templates look fine in the browser, but in display view in Dreamweaver they fall apart. I've written about this in another part of the forum -- I hope someone will come to my aid.

    Cheers
