    Try out Open Source CMS
They let you try out almost ever single free CMS out there.
    Good luck.
(Its always hard to find one, and stick with it).

I have used various CMS and it really depends on what features you are looking for from the cms? Log in and member profiles? Forums? or ability for "regular people" to edit the webpages?

i agree with ishkey's post.. and check out cmsmatricx..

Have you gone over to opensourcecms.com and tried a few out? They have demos of a bunch of open source CMS packages already installed and waiting for you to test drive.

    How about trying WordPress?

Yes, it's blogging software but it provides a great CMS too and very lightweight. Supports all the features you want..

Plus it has a great community of plugin and theme developers

I would have to second that. For anyone starting out, WordPress is a great choice. I found it very easy to pick up and customize.

It may have started out a blogging system, but now it has developed into a true CMS.

So far I have used many content management systems to develop my dynamic websites; Wordpress is the easiest and the efficient CMS.

You should try Wordpress, Drupal, Compact CMS and Website Baker, each one has a different level of complexity

Go for Joomla or WordPress, just keep in mind to keep your CMS updated with latest version as these popular CMS systems are usually targeted for injection hacks (this happens due to outdated version). So heads up :)
