Ok great, two you are right and I totally understand. I did have something set in my mind but with you guys throwing awesome designs at me I must admit I got carried away so my apologies for that.

Will try and work based on some of your ideas (if you don't mind when I get me pc back) and then come back here for some advice or some professional help.

Many thanks again and was a pleasure chatting to you all.

    See you soon.

Here's my most probably final design as I explained in my PM not sure whether it's what you're looking for but tried to go with something that would stand out on a Silver van and made the text in different colours as that's associated with the company.

    Here it is..

Let me know what you think :)

Could you get back to me soon as possible so then I know what to do with my design.

I have no pc my mobile phone has me auto logged in, I'm not trying to hide anything lol I work nights as most of my works has to be done out of hours. Sorry for the late reply I have not been up that long.

As for your design I like it a lot but I'm going to go down the much simpler route il post what I did roughly.

Was my bad getting overwhelmed with all your awesome designs and straying from what the company needs. So apologies for wasting your time. I would still like to donate to the forum if possible and hopefully continue being a member.

Lol also GG i thought you was in the USA that's why I suggested what I did via pm lol see your in the UK aswell.

Again sorry for the late reply been quite busy

    Cheers!

Hey CP its nice your lettering design came closest for simplicity but I think I want to keep colours to a minimum now lol I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. Il post what me and brother worked on soon as I get my pc back for your opinions and possibly help you with what I am after. Think to many colours doesn't work for the type of clients I have although if it was my taste I love them all lol

    Thanks so much

Hi again folks, well i got my PC back AND it lasted 2 hours and i have to send it back on monday again..............

Spent £2000.00 on this system and £3000.00 last year on another and had troubles with both but i like the customer service lol

Anyhow here is some links to some simple designs me and brother did, we used the London themes as well in a few from your ideas.

Im sure the hand in paint has been done a million times and what we tried to do was make a hand print into a brushed steel kind of look as if its pushing into a pillow of metal if u get my drift but being noobs we have no clue how to get that effect.

We also tried making the red hand very glossy deep red with highlights to make the gloss even more apparent but again we failed as we just dont have the know how.

Anyways id appreciate if anything some criticism on what can be done better and general proff help.

The writing on the London themed ones needs work cant really see the company name when printed.

But the simplicity of the hand one with a good font and the correct colours is what im afterin terms of simple lettering and clean design. Short but sweet as they say lol.

Thanks again folks and look forward to hearing from you.

I honestly don't think we need to make you one. Those logos are pretty good to be used as they are in my opinion.

Thanks for the comment GG, what one do you in your professional opinion think works best? Also is there something we could do more original with the hand one but keeping in line with it?

Do you think they work? Colours? Fonts?

    Thanks for the input.

Which one of you guys is a website maker?

    Cheers

I like the 'tdlc new' & the 'tdlc new1' but the one with the name in a circle would be better if the bottom half wasn't upside down else it'll just get ignored.

The rest of them I don't like besides the last one 'nother.pdf' but then again that style of logo has probably been used many times before but the above 2 that I mentioned i'm just not sure if they work the whole 'decorating' concept if you get me? Looks more like a 'be safe from crime' company...

Lol yes I thought the exact same thing looks like a sticker you have in your window at home warning burglars to keep out lol That's how simple I would like it to be a simple logo with a nice written font maybe you have a better idea for something like that?

As for the others I do actually like those and am tinkering with the idea of maybe some kind of eco friendly nice pastel green colour as the dome or something along those lines, some very small paint that's spilled and turns into a green man sniffing a.flower lol

    Thanks for your input.

Also it doesn't matter that I'm vearing off the painter decorator subject. Id rather it did to be honest. Stay away from the typical decorating company look.
