Web design is the designing and graphical presentation of content shown on the Internet in the form of Web sites and other Web applications using many different forms of media. The basic design of most pages on the Web use HTML, CSS, and the newest form of language, XHTML.

 

Web design is used as a general term to describe any of the various tasks involved in creating a web page. More specifically, it refers to jobs focused on building the front-end of a web page.
The web consists of myriad pages, presenting information using different technologies and linked together with hyperlinks. There are two basic aspects to any web page found on the Internet. The first is a presentation that the user interacts with, usually visually, while the second is a back-end that includes information for non-human browsers.

hi all, i want to developed the web design.i have heard that web designing is in two fromat one is PHP and other CSS,what is the basic difference among them.i have listened a lot about it,please let me more informed about it.

 

Both are HTML/CSS templates but PHP templates are embedded with PHP codes designed for a specific system such as WP.

 

I need to learn how to design a web-site. I am planning to start this as a hobby and if all goes well, maybe even start a side job as a web-designer. What type of program should I learn? Is Microsoft FrontPage still good to use or is it no longer up-to-speed with other leading web-designing programs.

What other types of programs are out there that will help me with website design. Do you think Macromedia is a good choice? I know it's a bit steep in price but I figure if I am to invest the time to learn the ‘difficult’ program, time is money, why be shy on one and not the other.

What about Adobe? Do they have a web-designing software?

Please share your thoughts. I really need the help.

 

I'd like to do web design. Which platform do you recommend: Joomla, Dreamviwer, Wordpress or ...? Very few know about this.

 

Most designers don't try to cover all of it. Instead, they focus on one or two areas where they can excel and work with other people on the rest. But the good news is that there is always going to be something new to learn.

 

To do web designing, I feel Dreamweaver and Joomla are the best platforms
