    I am a website novice. I created a website for my husband, but I would like the layout to be wider. When I view the website, the page does not fill up the whole screen. Verizon does not seem to provide any help on this. Would this be in the Html code issue (of which I know nothing about), but which I can view on the template? Many thanks for any help you can give me. ISS

    Your site is built with Trellix Site Builder a web based program which several hosting companies use today. Try this link for some info http://www.csbsupport.com/faq/id273.htm and google for more info or ask your hosting company.

    Website forwarding

    Thank you for the information that Trellix is my site builder on Verizon. Two more questions:
    1. When I created the website on verizon, it gave me a wierd verizon address. Since hubby already had a website name, I wanted to use that. I then went to a company that is holding my domain name and they are forwarding the domain name requests to Verizon. I don't know if I am explaining this properly! The domain company masks the Verizon address in the process. My question is this: Does the forwarding affect affect the way the website is ranked?
    2. In some search engines, there is no description under the website name. How do I correct this. Many, many thanks for any help you can provide. ISS

    Here is what your site looks like:
    <title>LAWRENCE J. SHERMAN, ESQ., Labor, Employment and Litigation</title>
    <meta name="description" content="Employment and labor law attorney and litigator, Lawrence J. Sherman, can assist you wiath workplace issues.">
    <meta name="keywords" content="Lawrence J. Sherman, employment attorney, labor lawyer and litigator.">

    For question 2- The answer yes & no. type the line below into your address bar.
    http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6woda/lawrencejshermanesq/
    You will see your site but the name does not show just http://shermanlaborlaw.com .
    You are using a shared site :mad: so yes in some search engines it will not show. To correct this you need a dedicated server.:)
    My web is http://cleandeck.net/ scroll down the main page on the right to find host monster click on it to get to their site, there you will find alot of info plus they are very inexpensive.

    Answer 1- The are Domain Registrars who are the ones who hold your name so no other can take it. The better ones Redirect your name or point it to your Hosting company. This way the world sees you at that address. Forwarding means you go threw them and then to your site ie; http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6woda/lawrencejshermanesq/ your site is 2 sub domains down. As for ranking you really need to be on a dedicated host. Most all seo's look at the main index page then (main domain) the the second, third pages (sub domains). Free hosting like above or from your phone company will never show up in any ranking. Here is a site I did for a friend using family temp. http://www.onceuponatimeweddings.biz/ It is hosted on host monster. In 3 months the rank is 1/10 and the traffic is is growing daily. She has gotten 3 more clients.
