General Please help me choose a right template or software

Hi:

I want to have a Web site that has download and upload features so that my visitors can download and upload things such as pictures, graphics, and music from and to my Web site.

I have never done this before.

So, I need your help by telling me what template or software I need and how to design my Web site.

What software to use. Since you wan't to have member registration I would either go for a free forum template, joomla or wordpress..

As for what goes for templates - that's up to you. You can purchase a template for money for find some for free, what are your desires?

Also remember that having members uploading stuff to your server requires a lot of traffic and CPU usage, make sure that your host allowes you to do so (unless you run locally).

 

To download and upload to a website, normally an FTP client is used.
You can have a free one on your site that visitors can use.
Search 'Google' for "Free FTP client software"
Check for tutorials on that FTP and reviews.
Choose the one that suites you best.

I would honestly just use joomla for your website, they have amazing add-ons for videos, and download sections for people to download/upload on their own. It makes life so much easier Take the easy road!
