Legacy Personal logo please

In my opinion I quite like the Red, Blue and Dark Green (the ones with the Black background) but the silver strokes are too flat.

If you look at the link you post earlier in the thread:

you can see the effect of the middle one with the outer Blue design bit beveled slightly. Hard to explain but look at the image below. I've highlighted the different between the 2.

Who was it that put the grass texture in, I think it would look better if it was completely surrounding the circle rather than just on the bottom. The top half looks rather plain and that's where you can notice the "glass" effect.

 

Yeah it's all around but the 2nd one has a bevel so if that bevel effect was applied to the image with the different coloured logos rather than being flat then it would look much better.

 

So the bevel should be kept? (Just to clarify, are you saying it will make the logo look better in general, or just on white backgrounds?)

@JmG: Ive attached a version of the E logo with the bevel, and grass effect over the whole circle. (but i had to lose the Dark Blue > Light Blue gradient effect and replace it with a single color) And i also increased to the opacity of the grass effect layer to 50% from 43% to make it easier to see.

Looks elegant CP, but having all that makes it difficult to use the logo in many places.

Avatars? Yes. Watermarks on pictures? No.

 

Im messing around in photoshop, and i just cant decide whether to add the bevel or not. I thought it might look more elegant without, since the grass layer is more clear.

And i fully agree with you. In my original post, i stated i admired apple's logo because it could be used everywhere, on any background.

But on the logo above, didnt you apply the effect to an older version way back in this thread? (I also noticed the glass effect didnt fit, because that circle is a different size than the newer one)

I'm here! been a little busy for past few days due to elections coming up so been helping out with that and had other designs to do for people so been a little busy. I have looked around the forum just hadn't signed in.
