General NVU or FILEZILLA?

    I'm trying to figure out how to use someone else's template until I can create my very own - (I'm learning) - but can't make it work with NVU... a free download I used... I use 1and1 as my host - dont like their templates - love alot of the ones here - is it NVU that's causing my problem? I go into my explorer/ftp account - and upload the file and it still doesn't show anything on my page.... should I use FILEZILLA instead?

    Also - does anyone know why they are not taking more template requests? Just curious, that's all.....

    FILEZILLA most definitely, leave it set for auto file type, and make sure you place your files in the proper directory like public_html
