Google Adsense- Maximize revenue from your online content

Does anyone have any good tips and ideas about this subject. We are looking for ideas that have been tried and produced results.
    Examples:
What size ads produce the best results.
What type of ads produce the best results
    What position gives best results
In articles, what do you suggest for best results
    How do you check results
What is the best way to use analytics (or the best analytics) for adsense results
    - - -
I found some advantages but do not know enough to advise.
Text ads do better for me, also 728 x 90 ads do better for me (horizontal ads)
Same color as background give better results for me
I will try changing the tint or color slightly (and rotate) to reduce ad blindness
    - - -
What have you tried to improve results
Can you suggest any sites that will give advice or tips
    -
This is called Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
    -
    Thank You
    Any help will be appreciated

Problem with tips listed, many are repetive and they only give a few per article.
We would like some proven tips from you and how they improved your results (or revenue)

    Thank You

I signed up Adsense and Analytics at the same time (Feb. 27). I got the reports the following day for Analytics but I’m still waiting approval for the Adsense. How long did it take for you to get yours?

Adsense account should be able to improve greatly.
First, check the type and size of ads (some are better than others)
Position, type, color, etc. are important. Also traffic is important.
    Plus you want affiliates.
How can you improve traffic for your site
Add an "opt in letter" (email) to let people what changes you make by week
Keep improving your tutorial on how to implement "CMS'
put your tutorial up on forums to get suggestions on how to improve
(it will increase traffic - be sure they allow signatures)
Submit your site to search engines
    -
    hope this helps

I was all excited when I got that report yesterday. Thinking 5 clicks earned me $1.25, so that’s 25 cents per click. It will make enough money for hosting and all internet expenses.:)

But today I got this report and shown 8 additional total clicks but the earning remains the same.:(
    adsense_0323.png
Again, thanks for all those suggestions. Some I might able to do over time but some probably will not going to happen like writing tutorials. As you can see, writing is not my forte.

Since writing is not your Forte maybe these people can write it for you, in-terms of a review.
    www. cmsmatrix. org/
    www. opensourcecms. com/
    www. cmsreview. com/
    www. cmscritic. com/
Try submitting to them your CMS then after they pick it up and write a review you can use that info to write one yourself and submit it to wikipedia.org (actually you create it on line)
The mileage you would receive will far out weigh what you are doing now. You would be getting the message out in a huge way. Not mention the Links would be worth there weight in gold.
Kinda like wishing you could go to the moon, to really walking on it.

I did submit to two of those sites you listed, cmsmatrix.org and opensourcecms.com. I got good referral traffics from opnsourcecms.com but not much from the other one. Without the Forte I don’t think I could do the wiki stuff.

I have already taken a baby step. Looks like a long road ahead. I will report any progress if any. When this journey ends, I will let you know where I wind up. Hopefully it will be the moon, or at least some mountain top.

    Great suggestion ishkey.
A tutorial (with help from forums) on how to use the CMS will give great dividends because many will see it and help. If it has pictures along with the description it will be better. Then submit it for review. This will increase traffic. Unfortunately, now I don't have much time to assist. As soon as I get more time, I will try and help.

We will help you write a tutorial.
    Start with screenshots
    -
First, where do you get the CMS. We need a page address.
Next you need to show what the page looks like where you get the CMS
To make a screenshot, press [PrtScrn] (right side of [F12]) and [Shift]
Then Go to "Paint" (microsoft accessories) and paste (will put your screenshot on the
desktop). You can name it and save it.
Next, how you download it to use. Take screenshots. Then open it. Take screenshots.
Then how to build a simple web page. Start with a template (from freewebsitetemplates)
so they can follow (show how to download the template, then how to load the template).
Make sure to take screenshots as appropriate.
Next, where to get free (public domain) photos so they can change the banner. Also a
    choice of free photo editors.
    -
This will give you a start. Next we will add instructions to the screenshots.
Note: Use any free photo editor (try them first so you can answer simple questions).

I have done some of what you have suggested but not getting much feedback. I use this site for tutorials. I think I will add a tutorial on creating a website from start to finish using Forest’s website.

Attn: Forest, are you seeing this?

    Go to
    http://freetutorials.name/Reference1/Trigonometry tutorials.html
Click on "Free TI Emulator for PC"
    You go here
    http://freetutorials.name/Reference1/Virtual TI Emulator.html
If you click on the links under the pictures you will go to the page
    of the picture
The instructions tell you what to do (they need to be updated to do better)
but now they generate a lot of traffic because every page that is math,
it has a link to it.
    -
The math pages that have the link
    http://freetutorials.name/Reference1/Arithmetic Tutorials.html
    http://freetutorials.name/Reference1/Algebra tutorials 1.html
    http://freetutorials.name/Reference1/Geometry_tutorials.html
also note the menu has links to the page (to help drive traffic to that page)
and note each page has the adsense at the top below the banner and
    at the bottom
    -
Note: the adsense is below the banner and at the bottom
(where they will be seen) but not distracting).
    -
    hope this helps

You need to know your targeted audience and design for that audience.
The CMS would probably be students (where you would get the most traffic
and conversions ($$$). Now most professionals have their own systems.
Beginners is where you will flourish (they are not all at school). To reach
them, you will publish an article to ezines (the tutorial in sections)
First how to download it and use it with a template. Then how to change the
banner picture. Then how to incorporate a slideshow. etc. These articles you
write (with help of this forum) will drive traffic to you (and conversions
    from adsense).
    -
Be sure to let us know how fantastic you do.

I don’t know if I have told you or not but I have been playing around with your other site (free-tutorials.name) and converted some of your pages into the new format. In this site, the first two pages you listed were converted into these :

    http://free-tutorials.name/?p=10&article=4&cat=TI 83-84 Emulator
    http://free-tutorials.name/?p=7&link=32&cat=Trigonometry Tutorials

As you can see, the one for the links is broken up into group so you need to click on the appropriated one to get the section as in your original page.

    For example, Pythagorean Theorem

    You would enter this:

    My targeted audience is schools
My traffic just had a drastic drop
Maybe because school is out for this week
    -
You need to know your targeted audience and the behavior of them
    -
I will give you a list of schools for you to contact with information
about your CMS. I would suggest having your tutorial ready first.

Before you email the schools, go to the "California Teachers forums" (check in Google -
there are several) to advise them what you are doing so you won't be removed as spam.
leave a link to your CMS site. Then show and tell at your site. Have a forum so they can
contact you with questions. Expect your traffic to increase.
