Hi everyone. Since my community members aren't very... artistic, I thought, that I could find some forums to ask for such a thing, since I'm short on money. So I found these forums.

    1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
    Ekstaze Gaming

    2) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?
Pagrindinis - Ekstaze Gaming. It's for the header, where's "Ekstaze Gaming". Also, the logo will be used on Steam group and probably spray in-game. So... It's supposed to be a logo, not only a writing like it is now. Don't get the wrong idea. ;-)

    3) Description of your website or business:
Another aid for our graphics people in deciding on an appropriate style design.

    4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?
http://www.ml-gaming.net/ I like the image in the middle of the header a lot. FNATIC.com: Counter-Strike Team a nice header, but no real logo, which is visable, I guess. CheckSix Gaming - Gaming Organization Nice logo on the left header side. Zilla Gaming Nothing special, but still something. http://file001.esportsea.com/images/content_images/265_t.gif quite nice, but not exactly, what I need.

    5) Requested size of your logo:
I'd like to get a spray image, which is up to 184x184px. It'll be sprayed in-game.
A header image, which you can determine size by yourself, as you can see it in my website. I know no real size of this one.
A steam profile image. This is pretty much the same thing, as the spray image, I guess.
    So... multiple sizes.

    6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
Sorry, I don't have such things. I liked the shield idea though, but as I imagine some... simple logo with a text on a shield like Armor Games, the desire for such is gone. So anyway, sorry, I don't have any images, that might be useful.

    7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Text and Image – Includes text and images used in your logo. This could be used to either
give a clearer view of what your logo is showing to your audience.
    That's what I need, probably. :)

    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Violet/blue/black maybe. Really not sure, but it should look professional. :)

    9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
If the image looks good, any color can be used, I guess. I doubt, a good designer would make a bad looking image with bad colors. I don't want the logo to be all from light violet, light blue, light green, light yellow, light red, etc. colors. It should be darker, than light colors...

    10) Describe the target audience for your logo
This will help the designers to create a logo based at your target audience (e.g Kids – Colourful, eye-catching, possibly characters)

    11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
I'd like the logo to show the professionalism of our gaming community, my team. If this can be combined, then I would like it to attract more players. But I guess, that the professional logo would look nice and do the job anyway.

    12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
As a game spray (CS:S, TF2, maybe later, other games).
    A website header.
    A steam community group image.

    13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I like those professional images, which looks good, not childish, not cheap, just nice. I don't really know, how to talk about them, as I am the code man, not a graphics designer. Sorry.

    14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
No, not really. I don't like those childish and cartoon fonts though. For example, the font, which is being used right now. I don't like it.

If anyone will make this thing, I'll be very grateful. Thanks!

P.S. don't look at the website, for the core logo, as it'll be used in many places, as you read. :)

Seen you login a few times and look here at your post. Not much going on is there.
Maybe if you try to give back to the community someone might help you.
As far as converting your file to a "spray" (VTF), this link will take you to software so you can do it yourself.

I'm kinda partial to something like this but then again that's just me.
ez.png So look around the forum and give back.
Maybe in the General Section type a few paragraphs about the ins and outs of the gaming community or maybe being you are a code man enlighten us with some php or JavaScript or Flash, we have Forums for those.

Side-note: Where the heck is Recidivist - This is his style graphics.

I'd like to, but I'm no good at graphics. I've tried to do some stuff, but I wasn't good. That was... Maybe a year ago.
All I can do about websites, is code a simple HTML page, which can probably be done better than I would in some program like Dreamweaver. So... There's not much to give back. :/
I'll probably (still not sure) will be learning some PHP/SQL soon, as I need to make some system for my site. It's small though, just get values from the database and put them into fields. Might be able to help someone, but I doubt it though.
Anyway, back to the topic: Thanks for the link, that looks like a nice image converter.

As for the image... Sorry to say that, but I didn't like the... medieval coat of arms (not sure, if that's the right translation, but that's what Google said, when I typed the word in my language) style. I mean, the eagle and a shield reminds me a real coat of arms, and that's a logo not for those old good games (not played by people anymore... :/), like AOE or Stronghold. It's mostly for source engine games, maybe later for games like HoN or Starcraft, CoD, etc.. The colors were too bright too, for my eye.
No offense meant, just not what I needed. It looks good though, overall.

As for the end of the post comment, I'll look into the general section maybe. I'm a code man for C++, not for websites. I'm going more for a gaming industry, like creating games, since I've a good imagination about things, that games should or shouldn't have. For sites, I know only basic HTML, as I stated before.
    Thanks!

    Interesting HTML and C++
who knows maybe we will be calling on you for help.
The conversion program has been around for awhile (command line and GUI) and works real well.
Can't say that I blame you for thinking that about the graphic but the Shield you like in ml-gaming.net to me screams throw back days and believe me when I say I know the old games.

    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Violet/blue/black maybe. Really not sure, but it should look professional. :)

Not easy colors to work with. But you got to start somewhere.
How about now to the other end of the spectrum.

    Ishkey -
    Now THAT is good!

    No, not good...
    EXCELLENT!
Grabbed my attention as soon as I saw it.

That's nice, I like it! It looks somewhat professional, can be improved still, but it is nice! That's something like I need. ;-)

Also for colors: I chose those colors, as I saw many great images, wallpapers, signatures, headers, clan logos, etc. with these colors, and they did look very professional, so I thought, that it might be a good choice.

Thanks CP, but you know how this works for me. I start it and someone else finishes it. Evey now and then I get lucky.

My mind reading skills no longer function with others.
What would work for everyone reading this would be something like.
That's the style I'm looking for but the color blue needs to be darker. It looks a little flat can you give it some depth.
The I say I think I know what you mean, how is this?

I know it's not my logo but I gotta say it looks absolutely spot on in the first instance.
Just hope Fryzas recognises a good thing when he sees it.

Ishkey- If he doesn't want it, add it to your 'for sale' portfolio. I'm sure you could get a good price for it.

Sorry, it was late, I forgot to say what. I was talking about the silver square. I like the first image a lot. :) The point was, that the square border can be improved. Sorry about that, it was 4AM in the morning. :/

    HOW can it be improved???

  11. fryzas

    fryzas New Member

Well, I tried to do it a little bit darker with Paint.NET, it looked a little better to my eye. I thought about something like dark dark red, but then again, it wouldn't match other colors. So anyway, making the border a little darker, or somehow compiling in dark red color would make it PERFECT.

    Very nice, ishkey! Thanks!

I made this change, and I liked it a bit more. You see, the only thing I didn't liked is the silver color of the border, as I said before. I thought about changes to it, but I couldn't thought of any other color to change it to, so I thought of maybe darkening it. If you'd have more color ideas for the border, it would be great, but if not, I think, that little bit darker, maybe somewhere in between mine and your versions, it would be great logo.

    Thanks!

It would seem striving for perfection isn't what it is cracked up to be.
Here is my last shot at it. Sorry but I can't spend any more time on this.
The 1st one and 2nd are as close as I can get it to what you want this time around.
The 3rd one is the original in case you want to massage it in paint.net

    Great
Nice it worked for you. I'll keep looking at your website to see if it appears.

Yea, for the website, forgot about it. Using it for a spray currently. So much stuff going on, when we are moving our server.
Anyway, could you make the black color transparent, since the website is transparent?
    Thanks.

IMO the original is the best. Looks very professional, reminds me of the logo of top league teams. Bold colours with a single point of contrast.

    Shame :/

    Anyway, amazing job again Ish.

    Thanks Recidivist I agree.

fryzas the image is a png, so if you used that software I suggested then you might not have set it right to create a "spray" (VTF) file. By the way the software accepts many formats to convert to a VTF.

Sorry, my HDD has failed, I wasn't able to do anything...
I already told my mates to use this as a spray tag though.
You will be able to see it working tomorrow. :)

    Thanks again.
