I use Avast. Seems to work VERY well! Actually today it has prompted me 3 times that it has block a trojan and other stuff! It's free! Also I have Spy Bot on my computer as well!

    Hope this helps!

I am using NOD32 from 2008 and haven't change it yet. Its been doing the best for me. I would also like to suggest you to go for it. I am sure you will find it the best.

I have tested all free Anti-virus programs out there and Avast free is the only free program to actually protect you at 99% leaving 1% for the obvious successful infection.

No Anti Virus program is 100% perfect including paid versions, I am clearly only recommending it as it has served me well being the only program to stop malware and spyware threats instantly as soon as you visit an infected website and has to this day not let a virus/trojan slip through its fingers.

The problem with AVs is they will scan the local system for signatures. If there is a page with a form on the web, that submits something to alter the settings of your router using local ips, they won't catch anything. Best to have your browser secured by allowing scripting only for sites you trust. Now days browser security is very important.

I am using Avira antivirus and it is good and easy to use.I have also tried Norton ant it is good too.But I am not sure how to stop hackers.Hackers have hacked many websites including some of the VIPs of the world, govt. departments, big companies. So avoiding hacking of your site is very difficult. If you know any such virus than made me known too...

I have used NORTON 2007 and found that it slows my PC down and its clunky to use.

I now use the free version of AVG (downloaded here at CNET) and found it meet and exceeds my needs, it's easy to use. It works in the back round and auto updates. AVG works great for me.
(And the price is right to)

How did you test the anti-Virus ? There are several standard tests or did you use one of your own.
Did you test for just viruses or all malware ? Could we have a copy of your test software ?

An update to antivirus reviews. Ratings change from year to year as threats change from year to
year and detections methods change. Ratings can be different as testing methods are different.
Different reviews will reflect the testing methods, so they can be different.
