For those don’t know what we are talking about, I added the quote above.

The not so funny thing about this is that site is not about logos. At least I could not find any.

Mr. Ishkey, I still can’t figure out how you and all the designers here could do all those graphic things. I’m still trying to learn how to just to cut out part of the image and play with it.

...and on the other hand, I still can't figure out how you guys do all that coding stuff!
It may as well be in an alien language.

One small step at a time. I started with looking at all those zeros and ones so the first step was learn how to put them together with an Assembler. Once I mastered it, the next step was go on to the basic with Basic. With A and B behind me, next step was naturally C. But now I could not go any steps higher trying to make sense with all those lettering like ASP, AJAX, PERL, PHP, SQL, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, XML, XSL, SSL, CSS… like they are aliens :(

I’m sure once I figured them out they probably are just down-to-earth. :)

I drink a cup of JAVA to keep me awake to do all those coding stuff. :coffee:

HTML is the language to put content in the website. CSS is the language for the frame (like picture frame with the content being the picture). You may want to use an editor to make it easier. Many have help files or tutorials to guide you. There are many free ones to use. First find out if they are compatible to your OS. Then try using them to make a very simple website. Then you will need an FTP client to upload the website to the internet. Many good free ones (note: I like the word free). You will want a photo editor and a good source of public domain photos.

Even though you could use Forest Designs but the main keyword is Forest and since Graphics and Designs are too common for this type of business; so even with Falcon’s help with his SEO expertise, I think most of the traffic will go to your competitor’s site.
    -
Guess again, most people don't know SEO even the ones that should. Bet we could get you first page on the three (3) major search engines. Then work on traffic, then work on targeted traffic. It is better to have 100 visitors and 10 clients than 1,000 visitors and 5 clients (this is SEM or search engine marketing).
    -
Design some samples for your site to display, different categories so they get a sample of your talents.
Note: just for example - http://newark1.com/portfolio/index.html
they have some examples to show (too many I think)

look at his photos - you can display better

Who are you going to design or make a website for ??
Where is the market now ??
I looked at some industrial websites in So California (LA area)
some were great (very few), most were fair, some were bad.
Take a look at some (the library has a reference book called "So. Calif. Business Directory")
They list the business, the main officers, the number of employees, the profit per year,
phone numbers, fax numbers, and website address.
Check websites per company type. Compare by type. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Show how you could improve different areas. Contact the company via email with some
ideas. See if they reply. Keep an active list. Some may reply, this is a list of potential customers
Then set up a video conference. This will give you a start. It may take a while to be able to
put it all together, but I don't know many who do this or know how.
This will give you a good start (don't forget, the forum can help)

If you don't have access to the information, I can send the most important ones to you
We have 50 states now in the colonies. That's a lot of potential clients. You have the UK,
Canada, the colonies and down under. You need to learn how to contact them, then do
better than the competition. Remember, the person who gets the job is not always the
best qualified person, but the best at getting the job. Once the procedure is learned, then
you will have very little competition (don't tell how you did it) also the cheapest not always
wins but the best at salesmanship. (I can't find the forest for the trees)

Remember, you don't need a dot com. There are other extensions. Mine is dot name.
We will get you first place with what name you have and the dot extension. Your choice.
Are you going to develop websites, design websites, build websites. The name is your choice.
Pick one that you will be happy with, doesn't need to be design. I think you want to keep the name
'forest' but again that is your choice. Try using a thesaurus (many good free ones online) and check the words in a keyword
suggestion tool. Then we will SEO the site and each page. Most of my traffic does not go thru the
index page because of good individual page SEO. That is what you want.
    hope this helps

Attn Forest: are you still interested in getting your own website? Or you already got one? If not, and if you’re still interested I’ll be happy to finish what we have started.

Sorry I missed seeing your PM. As you may know, last couple months some of my sites were being hacked so I stopped promoting using my CMS. Hopefully I have found the fix and now resuming working on it.

There is no need to hurry. When you are ready I’ll be here.

BTW, the light at the end of the tunnel maybe a train so be careful :D
