    hi guys,

sorry for the most simple question ever, but i have my template open in PS, i've designed my logo in a seperate PSD and saved it as a jpeg...

now how do i import my logo image into my web site PSD?
i assume it needs a layer, how do i get the image in as a layer?

ive looked at 10 different tutes but they all gloss over how ie "just add the image you want..." HOW?

    basic question i know.

    thanks~

    :)
open the psd and the image at same time, activate your logo image and select it by CTRL+A, then activate your PSD Template and CTRL+V, that's it the Photoshop will create teh logo layer automatically inside the layers palettes,

    hope this helps :)

    That or you can do
    File > Import
And a new layer will be created automatically in most graphic programs.

Well, I actually helped him out. He was using just a psd file and no css with the HTML, so I took the PSD he modified and sliced/coded it for him. It turned out very nice...:)

It was no problem, he already had the hard stuff done, (the design) so all that was left was coding...:) :) :)

how to import images the simple way

Hi y'all :) I found this very simple solution for importing an image in one psd file into another psd file. Load both psd's int PS. activate the one holding the image u wish to import, select the image layer, right click and select duplicate layer. And lo! the duplicate dialogue box, besides asking for a name for yr new layer, has a 'destination' selection area, click on it and it presents u with a choice of both loaded psd files. simply select the target and click ok. switch to the target psd and there it is, in the layers panel
    hope that helps

Most easy way: File > Place > (select image).
