This is my first attempt at using the wix editor. My site is far from being done but could really use some feedback, and constructive criticism is appreciated as this will be my second source of income. Thank you.

    Hi Prepper,

I happened to catch an old season of Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic recently and can probably relate to some of the stuff on your website. I am assuming that you are trying to set up an e-commerce store. You might want to refine your navigation so that users funnel through your website better. For example, you shouldn't be lumping all the links under the "more" drop down button. It makes locating information on your products difficult.

Also, you probably want to consider implementing some sort of trust seal so consumers gain more confidence in making transactions on your website. This article may be a good starting point and I encourage you to do more research yourself: http://baymard.com/blog/site-seal-trust

At the end of the day, the more trust you can build with your visitors, the better your conversion rates will be. Once the site is built up, ask your friends and family members for feedback. Would you or they be willing to spend money on your site? If no, find out why and then tweak it again. If yes, it might be a sign you are doing something right.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you Paul, This is the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I will research as you suggested and also check out the link. I am also looking into a few other platforms such as Yahoo Stores and 3D Cart. Cheers!

  4. Hi Prepper,

Had a look at your site and looks good.

Here are some suggestions which you may consider:

    1. Instead of listing all the items under one menu( "More") try to consolidate and split them in to multiple menus.
    2. When the screen loads, all I can see is an image and some text. The important contents such as the products that you offer are positioned at the bottom of the page and can be see only when I scroll down. Better to position them some where in the top or middle so that the users can see it right away.
    3. You have wasted quite a lot of space by putting an image on the right hand side. Try to reduce its size and bring in some content beneath it.

    Thanks!

There seems to be a lot of professional folks here, I'm proud to be a part of this community and appreciate the feedback. I'm thinking of going with a different platform as Wix is a little difficult for me to use. Thinking about Yahoo stores, they have templates that match the suggestions that that have been given to me. I will re build and re post for more feedback. Thanks again for all of your help.

Hi! Very good Site. However, you may use few more options for your menu and deduct some options from the more menu. It sometimes gets tough to scroll through those options under more menu as it appears very long. Also you may try adding a footer where you can place some of the options from more menu like contact, about us, useful links or may make categories of your products and place them there. Good luck!
