    Hello!

So me. This is me! Hi! A crazy little Canuck with a severe passion for reptiles (Not in THAT way. Eeeeew.) and grew a small business around that love. I've had to work full time around that, which left me little time to focus on the business aspect of it....

Which brings me here! I've recently become a full time housewife (no kids, and I am still ALWAYS busy!!!) and am now making time for my business and to make it more presentable and keep it up to date. Something i'm really terrible at. So it's getting a facelift.

But in playing around with GIMP and Photoshop, I've come to realize that.... I really suck at REAL graphic design. Sure, I can put a hat on a gecko or an eyelash on a snail, but I can't create things worth beans.

I have a basic grasp of HTML. Love it. Except when I realize that I don't know as much as I'd like and my webpage suddenly becomes so askew that you have to scroll to the right for 5 miles before you see any web content.

.... which is where I learned the value of backing up every 5 seconds. (no. Really. 5 seconds sounds good to me.)

I don't know how much I can really HELP with this forum, but I'm hoping that in LEARNING from here I can also offer a hand on some of the smaller things!

Anyways. Off to do a new thing. I'm making SOAP today!

(PS. I have severe squirrel syndrome. I become distracted by shiny things and asking me to make decisions is like throwing popcorn at my head and expecting me to NOT try to eat it....)

Hello Keldertron and welcome to our community,

Great intro it's always fun to read an interesting intro like yours.

We will reopen the request for website templates if you would like to get a new design for your website we will be happy to design one as it looks like a very interesting and creatively stimulating project to work on.

I appreciate that! I was going to use the Zerotype template and more needed a logo reconstruction, but am always open to custom work! (Besides, I'm having issues resizing the box for the logo.... LOL)

My knowledge of HTML and script and coding and anything web-development related is very basic and sketchy. But i'm learning! I don't really have much I can contribute at this point, but I'm hoping that the more of this I do, the more I learn, and the more I can contribute! Because I appreciate the help an awful lot! (If anyone has any REPTILE related questions, however... I can definitely help there!!!)

Do you have a photo camera?
If so it would be great to have some copyright free photos we can use for our templates of reptiles. That would be a great way to contribute as our biggest problem right now is finding great photos without having to spend an enormous amount on royalties for it.

oh yes. I have many already and I'll post a bunch as soon as I find them (files are scattered throughout about 20 disks.... it might be a week or so before you see anything come up here, depending on how fast I can get through them.) I saw that post and was excited to find something I can help with!

I'm fairly confident when it comes to graphic manipulation but you're one up on me there! LOL
Welcome to FWT and thanks for the giggle. Looking forward to seeing your reptile pics!

    Cheers

Instead of sitting back and waiting for people to laugh at me, I usually start laughing at myself first. It's a great icebreaker. LOL

Hi and welcome to FWT Krystal!

I saw some of your photos on the photographer thread; thanks for sharing, the pictures look great! I like the alpaca best, but what kind of snake is that pink one? It has really striking skin! :)

    Hi Dawn!

The pink one is actually a ball python that's been messed with. I always joked that I wanted a pink snake. Couldn't find one so I had to make it. Lol

I have a bunch of others I'll be putting up. Most of the discs I went through today were weddings and family events though, so hopefully there will be more in the next few days. CP has been putting up with me and my pickiness so thought it would be good to offer as many as I can!

Aww, I thought it was real! Are these the pink snakes you were thinking of? Not quite as vivid the one in your picture, but... :)

    LOL I wish!

The pink snakes back then weren't as nearly cleanly defined as they are now, but my thought was to have a FUCHSIA snake! Buuut. They don't exist. LOL (Not that I know of, anyways.)

I have a good big handful of the kind you posted - just not in pink! Lots of other colors though. Orange, red, black, grey, white, creamy.... (there will be some picture posted eventually)
