I wrote an article on resumes to help people get their resumes read (not tossed by the
computer) because most companies now use resume scanning software that checks
for keywords. Any help in improving it would be appreciated. The information I obtained
was from the manager of a city employee relations and she reviewed over 200 resumes a
day (on a slow day), but it was several years ago and conditions change.

I work at the Business Career Services at my school, and here's what we have in regards to resumes; I've found it extremely helpful. If you go into the career search guide booklet, then there's an entire page (or two?) that includes action words that are helpful in creating your resume. Hope it helps!
