Legacy Football (Soccer) Club Badge Design

Hi All,

Have stumbled across this website and looks perfect for what I need. I've read the rules and regs and happy to help others with website reviews etc.

Onto my request ... was after a design for the football club I manage. Below is the answers to the questions needed:


1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Text: THE COMPASSES FOOTBALL CLUB

Text: Est. 2005

Picture: Pub Logo (see Below)

2) What is your website address (ex: http:/site .com/; Site Name)?
We have no club website at present ... looking to set one up soon.

3) Description of your website or business:
Football (soccer team)

4) Search the Internet for any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey the style you are looking for?
I very much like the look of the Bayern Munich badge - the design and also Font (see attached - Bayern Munich.jpg)

Also attached is the logo of the pub's Compass logo which i'd like in the Middle of the badge (please ignore the background on attached I snipped it from the pubs website (http://www.compassespub.com/)

5) Requested size of your logo:
I'd like this the average size of most club crests ... i'm open to it varying it to suit resolution; i'll leave it up to the experts.

There is potential scope to use on future websites, flyers and well as club shirts and trophies (not sure if a hig and low res version would be required?)

6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
See point 4

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
As said above would like the style of Bayern Munich just changed to our spec so would be text and image.

Outer Ring = Sky Blue, Background of ring = White and Font in Capitals (Sky Blue) - Top Half = THE COMPASSES
Bottom Half = FOOTBALL CLUB

In Middle = Compasses Logo with room to have Est. 2005 somewhere ... open to suggestions what ever looks best - Font possibly same as what the Compasses Points ... Background of Middle = Sky Blue (NB : blue and white diamond check in B.Munich badge NOT required)
8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
As above

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Red, Green, Yellow

10) Describe the target audience for your logo
Current/Potential players and fan base as well as opposition players/fans.

Local public if used in advertisments/flyers

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Profesionalism, Spirt and Desire

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
As covered above will be potentially used on adverts/flyers as well as a club website. Also on shirts and trophies so not sure if a low and high res version will be required.

13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
All covered above

14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
As mentioned Bayern Munich style font for outer ring (in Capitals) and for the Est. 2005 possibly the same as Compass points on the logo (if poss - in Black)


I hope I have covered as much details as possible and you have something to go on but please do ask if you have anymore questions?

Ah ok thanks very much Forest ... yes we have permission as are only a pub team and the landlord sugggested the use of that himself. I will ask if he has a good copy stored anywhere ... who ever designed the website must have something saved.

Sorry for the delay ... i've finally been given a better (newer) version that the pub use (see attached).

Thank you for everyone elses comments and have taken them on board ... my only qualm is that we are effectively a pub team and that is the logo of the pub so if it can be used then perfect ... if it does cause major issues then will address them.

Hi Forest,

Really? What a shame ... yes give that a go if you wouldn't mind ?... possible idea maybe fill the centre in the same blue as on the outside of the pic with maybe a small circle in the very centre (same colour as the points) to represent a s ort of middle compass point? ... would that be a goer?

Hi All,

Got a bit way laid with this as I play cricket but starting to get things organized for the new season so wondered if anyone had possibly had a go at my design?

Also with regard to the issue of the pubs actual badge not being high res enough i've been given a better copy (see attached)

Any help would be so welcome.
