Legacy Looking for a logo for a tree service

My husband is starting a tree trimming business with a couple of friends and needs a logo for business cards & possibly t shirts.

They aren't picky on fonts on colors as long as it will work with their stuff and not be too "girly" LOL

I think oranges and reds would probably work best with the website

that I'm professional, what we do, and something natural

Yes we are! If you had any ideas we would be greatful. I'd love to do my own but I'm just not that good at it and have NO idea how to even go about it!

Sorry it too me so long to post something; I've been busy recently, haha.

So, here are two ideas; let me know if this is what you guys are looking for. I'm working on something a little bit different as well...so let me know!

 

I quite like the lettering on the second one. It is more vibrant and modern.
I think the first looks a tad old and faded in comparison.
