Legacy Request for an improved / new designed Team logo

Hello all. I already introduced myself in the thread but basically I am new here - as my low post count might suggest
Anyways, at the moment I am reviewing some website, to do my part to be active in the community.

As my thread title already says I need some help myself.
I already have a soccer team crest/logo but I am looking for help to improve or even redesign it (as I am not able to do that alone - yet! )
Anyways here is the questionnaire


1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

The team name is Phil Fak's Finest.
The Abbreviation is PFF.

2) What is your website address (ex: http:/site .com/; Site Name)?

philfaksfinest.de.tl (here you even see the old logo/design)

3) Description of your website or business:

We are an amateur hobby soccer team that participates in tournaments and the university league.

4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey the style you are looking for?

This is the logo we use at the moment.

Since I want it to be improved or redesigned I am really open for anything.

I would love to see it with the Liverpool design



but wouldnt mind the Barca Crest



but I am open for other shapes as well.


5) Requested size of your logo:

The Logo will appear on the homepage as well as be embroidered on the teamkits.


6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)

Well except for our logo itself I have no images yet.

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

Text and Image please.

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?

Well basically our colours are red and white. But since we are getting new shirts (colour unknown yet) I would like to see (if its not to much work) it in red and white, red and black, as well as blue and white. But if its too complicated red/white would be fine.

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?

Well colours i would not like would see (which spring to my mind) are yellow and green.

10) Describe the target audience for your logo

The audience are students between the age of 20 - 30. With maybe some people up to 50.

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

Modern image/team
determined
fair & fun

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

The Logo will be embroidered on the teamkits. It will be used on the homepage and maybe on scarves/stickers and flyers.

13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?

No.

14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.

I am open for every font as long as it is not to ornamental/quirky so that it can be easily seen.


I am really hoping that someone can help me out and I am really curious what you guys will come up with.

Hello CP,

first of all thank you for helping me out and using some of your time for my "problem"

I really like both designs you made but have a few ideas/questions.

The first one simply is about the blue logo. Would it be possible to use a darker blue (like navy or something) ??

I also wanted to ask whether you could add a crown above the football or instead of the football and if you could add a star above the logo itself?

I know its may be too much to ask but perhaps you can come up with an idea. If not I am really happy with the ones you designed for me, which I think are really good.

PS. Do you personally think the Text part looks better in the main colour (like you already did) or do you think it would be better in black? Just a question since you are the expert.

Since the decision what the final shirt colours will be will be made in the next two days - I cant tell you in which colour the logo needs to be right now.

As soon as I know it I'll let you know if thats okay. B

Im no designer, but since no else answered i thought i could just give my opinion. I think black looks nicer.

Im not sure if im allowed to do this, but i downloaded the crests above and changed the text to black, to illustrate to Schnen what it would look like.

thanks for taking your time and trying to give me an answer to my question.

I still don't know which colour for the text I like the most.

I will know tomorrow what colour the shirts will be and guess that I have to wait and see how it looks when CP or you change it to the colour which fits to the shirts.

But the final design will be the one which CP did last. Because the one with the crown and the star included is definately what I was looking for as an improvement.

So here I am again with an update.

There are now two possible shirts left.

I will attach both, so that you guys can take a look and change the colours so it fits both (or rather that we have two versions for each kit one).

Here is the first one:



The colour is called macaw green or something.

But I think the first shirt will be the one which will be chosen.

Which colours would fit best for the badge then?!

Hey CP,

first of all thanks for the reply and sorry that I replied that late but I had a fw days off. We have finally decided that it will be the first shirt I posted. Its the green one with the black "highlights" so to speak. They will be worn with black shirts.

So it would be great if anyone would have the time to change the colours of the final crest you/CP did, so they match the shirts.

thanks for all your input.

First of all thanks CP for spending your free time on this. I am really thankful for that.

I really like the green one but think that yellow might be a good shout since it is kind of brighter. I would really appreciate it if you (CP) can change the colours into yellow so I have the green version and the yellow one.
