I noticed that you guys are positively encouraging posters and alike to get involved in the forums, a great idea and a small price to pay for the help you guys give to people.

I've looked at the website reviews section. I Would love to leave some comments but not sure that my untrained eye and lack of PC knowledge would be of any use unless " I like your site" works as constructive criticism lol

I guess if you have any decorating questions you want answered you can post here and I will answer anything I am able to, other than that hopefully some interesting threads in General might arise.

Thoughts on a person not qualified to comment on peoples web pages?

    Thanks

Surely you could use your knowledge of decorating to give your thoughts on the apparel of a website. The backgrounds is similar to wallpaper, content blocks being the furniture, and the ornaments are it's contents. I could be mistaken on what is considered decorating though, it's not really my forte.

Hi Peter, and a belated welcome to FWT. :D

You don't need to know how web sites are put together to appreciate how they look (or how crummy they might look), or how easy it may be to navigate around a site.
After all, you are "Joe Public" the person who the owners of these sites are trying to get the attention of.
Even your decorating skills would give you a sense of what colours look better on a particular background.
I am a 'graphics' person and like yourself, know very little about creating a site. Although I do know what I like to see on a website and what has me quickly hitting the close button (any FLASH SITES:mad:!!) never to return again.

Even this post of yours under "General Chat' may be of help to other members who also feel they have nothing to contribute.
We all know what we like mate.

    Cheers
    CP

Thanks for the comments folks, your absolutely right. I am Joe public and yes I can comment in a general way, just wanted to know peoples thoughts on joe public commenting and whether my opinion would also count compared to the professionals.

Yep I can go as far as colour schemes, better colours possibly and general user friendliness.

    Thanks for the replys.
