Legacy Rothwell Albion in need of a club badge!!

Established in 2010 we are half way through our first season in the Leeds Sunday Alliance first division... which we are storming!! Played 11 won 10 drawn 1. So it would be delightfull (touch wood) if we win the league, to have a club badge on our new kits and training tops.

I am the current coach for the team but have asked the manager and players for a few ideas;

With regards to shape the Barca and Liverpool badges are popular... Colour. Red and Black and we would like our name somewhere in the mixer.

Finally we are currently based at a local pub called the Waggon and Horses aswell if possible (not sure how hard it would be) could the badge include a black horse on its hind legs sort of Lloyds TSB/Ferrari esq...

(Very new to this, no idea where this will get me, worth a punt!!)

Rothwell Albion (Monotype Corsiva) something along these lines if possible.

We are a football team playing in the Leeds Sunday Alliance first division.

4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?


The Liverpool badge, the Barcelona badge, the Lloyds TSB logo/Ferrari logo for the black horse on its hind legs




5) Requested size of your logo:
Basically we ask this to determine the graphics resolution and what it will be eventually used for.
Will it be made into a poster or printed on shirts? (high resolution) The logo will be printed on the club shirts and training tops.
Do you need the final image in various sizes? (various resolutions) No

6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?


We would like a shield like badge likethe style of the Barcelona or Liverpool badge. We would like a black horse on its hind legs and the words Rothwell Albion inserted perhaps at the top of the horse as in Liverpools badge with the bird.



8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
State any main colours that you would like in your logo. Black and Red are the main colours. These colours are associated with Rothwell and our next kit is going to be Red and Black.

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
State any colours that you do not want in your logo. Anything other than the two mentioned if possible.

10) Describe the target audience for your logo
This will help the designers to create a logo based at your target audience (e.g Kids – Colourful, eye-catching, possibly characters) The logo will be targeted towards open age footballers.

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
This will help the designer know how to design your logo and to what effect.
(e.g could be targeted to attract new businesses, gamers, newly weds, children,
builders etc etc) Professionalism… we would like the badge to look professional to convey our work ethic in promoting this new team.

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
This will help the designers know which format to create the logo in. You will not
have to decide yourself as all designers will know. Please note down everything that
your logo will be placed on which includes any future plans.
Failure to do so will result in a bad quality logo.
The logo will be placed on our team kits, polo shirts and training tops. From next season we will be running a website and it will be placed on their aswell.
13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Please feel free to comment on anything else that you would like your logo to have if it has
not been mentioned above.

14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
For font types you can look here daFont or one of the many Font Websites available.

Monotype Corsiva or some thing similar.

Thank you very much. I'm new to this website but due to having an operation yesterday on my torn ACL (first game of the season!!!) I am off work for a few weeks so I will have plenty of time to try and contribute to the website/community.

Hi there,
afer talking to the manager and some of the players and getting there opinions I wonder if you could try changing some features if poss.

1. Change the red to white (to make it easier to match up with our kit and any future kits) but add some red touches??

2. Add in the section above the Rothwell Albion writing , Est 2010


In addition to this I got the following e-mail off the manager, I don't know if this would be too much trouble but I think he want's two different badges so we can choose between them both.
