My husband and I started a U10 Softball team. It is quickly expanding to a club with multiple teams. My husband drew a logo (attached below) a logo which was converted by a tee shirt printer. I am looking for a couple more options, as we will have several teams in the fall.

    Team - Washington Kaos Fastpitch
Colors - Navy, red and white

Any help would be so great!

    Please Softball Team logo help

    1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
    Washington Kaos Fastpitch

    2) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?
    kaosfastpitch.com

    3) Description of your website or business:
We are a non-profit youth softball team- helping young girls learn valuable skills and have FUN while fostering good sportsmanship, great attitudes, values and ethics of our program, community and family. We are organizing a blanket event at X-mas at the childrens hospital and working on organizing a Easter egg hunt.

    4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?
My husband did a sketch of one with the Kaos inside the shape of Washington State. A local tee shirt printer converted it on his software for our teams tee shirts.

    5) Requested size of your logo:
We are looking for a logo that can go on tee shirts, out website, as well as possibly a uniform set

    6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free) It is a girls softball team

    7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Well "Kaos" to me opens a worls of interpretation. Imagine being in a house with 45 girl, ages 9-13, (loud, drama, laughing, squealing)...and we coach them because we LOVE IT!
    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Out colors are navy, white and red. We will have multiple teams and have uniform tops in each color and will likely want to offer all three colors to parents on shirts to support our team

    9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
    You are the expert!

    10) Describe the target audience for your logo
While we want our uniform and team to be classy, fun and youthful would be appreciated as well. Nothing to wild, but not boring ; )
    11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
    Class, FUN, confident

    12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
website, sweatshirts, tee shirts, possibly unifroms, newsletters to our players families and our sponsors, flyer (for events that our team will participate in in the community)

    13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?

    14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
I like all kinds of fonts. Something kind out youthful and funky comes to mind, but I truth the creative guys (and gals) ...

Nice response - but it really does not give any indication as to why or why not.
Are ozone73's graphics what you are looking for. Some detail will allow him to work with you to a greater degree.

Remember we all volunteer our time here, so as the sticky post laid out - try to give back to the forum someway.

I like your original design honestly, i mean if you change the background to white and the border to the country black.

I like some aspects of each of the logo designs. I like the softball on the second, but not necessarily the lettering. The field logo looks nice, but would not work for a universal uniform or bag logo. Would look good on a tee shirt though.

I apologize for my vagueness. I appreciate the time it took to submit the logo designs is all. I do not want to offend anyone.

I like the the logo we have as well, but because it was a drawing and it was converted by someone who made t-shirts for us, I have no way of knowing if it can be altered in any way. For instance when I copy and paste it in a letter head, I have to try and match the navy in the background and make a banner across the page. I do not know how, or what software I would need to change the back ground. Also, for instance if I put it on a red shirt, can I change colors to make it look ok? I have only t-shirts printed in navy.

It seems that if you are happy with your logo, but just need it altered that should be the way to go

How about if we made the background transparent, then what ever colour you put it on would not matter.

Maybe get a few done like this just with the state area in different colours, IMPO this would be much quicker than trolling through new designs and numerous changes when you already have what you like

I will post up what I mean tomorrow if you would like?

This is true. I was just seeing what else someone could come up with as we will have 5 teams next year. Problem for me is what KAOS looks like as a symbol. I have four girls and our home is the spot everyone like to hang...some people think is chaos, but we love it that way.

I would love to know how, or what software would get me started playing with changing designs if you, or anyone else could advise as well.

This getting really confusing, so I am going to try to sort it out, along with your help.

You first said you are going to have many teams, which no one knows the names or even colors for them. ozone73 created two logos, quite good I might add.

    Then you said -
"I like some aspects of each of the logo designs. I like the softball on the second, but not necessarily the lettering. The field logo looks nice, but would not work for a universal uniform or bag logo. Would look good on a tee shirt though."
This part is confusing - "but would not work for a universal uniform or bag logo. Would look good on a tee shirt though."
    Why not? Don't understand.

    Then you said -
"I like the the logo we have as well, but because it was a drawing and it was converted by someone who made t-shirts for us, I have no way of knowing if it can be altered in any way. For instance when I copy and paste it in a letter head, I have to try and match the navy in the background and make a banner across the page. Do you want your original turned into multiple colors?
If you do then you need to know what colors you want.
If you are going to use it as the League Logo then maybe you just need it to be transparent, so you can put it on any website.

You then posted more sample Logos that you like.

    What are you looking for?
Your League Logo redone as stated above?
Multiple Team Logos that play in the League?

ps Forest bet me to the question.

    Clarification

I am looking for a logo for Washington Kaos, a girls softball club. We started with a U8 age group and will be adding a U10, U10 B, U12, and U14 teams this summer. I was looking for an additional Logo for the teams. I would also love to know how to edit the existing one so it can be placed on several backgrounds. My main purpose was to find an additional logo as another option for teams, as some coaches have not liked our existing logo.

    Programs -
    Inkscape
    Gimp
    Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    Xara Designer Pro6
    to name a few.
As for how to edit them - you just have to obtain one of the above programs and start learning how it works first or you can find numerous tutorial on the net, just do a search.
You are asking for a whole semester of school, in a reply here.

I know you have looked around the forum and by now you should realize that there many talented people who can make you a logo for each team, as long as you supply what you want for each logo.
I just don't see the graphics people sitting down and spending hours of their time making samples of generic logos.
The coaches need to put their ideas to paper.

Perfect! Is it possible to exclude the U8 and U10 and to creat the transparent designer with a Navy Kaos writing that would enable it to go on red nicely? FANTASTIC!
