News Badges/Logo's Etc!!

    Just thought I would bring this to the attention of everyone.

    Not sure if anyone has read an article regarding an amateur football team in the scottish highlands being told that there badge/logo is illegal?

    Because they have the lion rampant and saltire in the logo they should really register it with court of lord lion or coat of arms.... something like that lol

    Anyway, they have had this for years and its never been a problem, but now that someone has reported them for this they could face a fine and told to loose all equipment/strips etc that has the logo on it (around £30,000 worth) I think they have the right to register it but im sure that costs a few thousand £s to.

    Crazy times lol......Just as well I noticed this before trying to design our own club badge as I was planning to use iether the saltire or the lion rampant

    (Can't bring myself to give their 'title' the proper capitalisation) :mad:
    Being a decendant of Scottish ancestory myself, I'm absolutely disgusted with this pompous rubbish of not displaying the rampant lion or saltire unless permission is first granted (at a cost of course).
    I'm sure if my ancestors knew about this in their day they'd say "What a load of bollocks!"

    Good Biblical name. Strong and an all time classic. ;)
    It's also my son-in-laws name and, I would hope, a possible name for a future grandson.
