Legacy Need a logo, have a drawing but not good at graphic art!

Okay so I am starting a new political organization and I have a drawing of it already, however my drawing skill is extremely poor and so the drawing kind of sucks.

Oh by the way, please do not include the text in my drawing. I have renamed the organization. So please just the logo. Thank you.

So if you can't tell, it is a hammer inside a gear with fire behind the hammer. The gear has the words "LABOR" and "UNITY" written on it.

I would like it to be very modern looking. I don't care if you make modifications to it, just not drastic ones where it would not be representing the theme. The organization is a radical Communist political group and party. So that is the gist of it.

If someone could make this, that would be so awesome and perfect, and I might be able to send a couple bucks your way through PayPal if I get to log into my bank.

I am guessing form the drawing, it is some sort of mechanical cog, with flames in the middle and a hammer or a tool of some sort? Just to clarify what is in the drawing.

You should, however, go here and add this to your request. (Not sure if it's needed as you provided a drawing, but it might still help)

Is this for a real political group? Seems a bit..agressive..I don't know, could you tell me about the group? I'm just interested, the old 'Red syndicate' name and the logo look a bit..communisty? You can PM me with it if you don't mind explaining but don't want it displayed publicly.

I'd give the graphic a shot, but I've switched program and I'm still trudging through tutorials and trying to get the hang of it. Slow progress now I have started College as I've prioritised programming above graphics.

Yeah I see you updated your first post with it, I didn't see that as I was in the middle of writing my post as it was updated.

I find Communism particularly interesting, but I won't start babbling on about it here

See if you can help out around the forum, try looking in the Website Review section. A few useful comments in there will make the graphics artists feel more inclined to help you with your own request.

I like it but there are only two things I would change about it. I would like the hammer to be a bit more, well, have a bit more depth. It's kind of flat and I know that that is what it looks like in my drawing, but that's only because I am horrible at drawing. So if there could be some detail in the hammer that would be nice.

Also, if it is not too much trouble, I would like this font:

@AlecEinWindir..i've been just having a look at your logo and what are you trying to show through your logo?

You obviously want to show what the party is about through your logo but what i've seen I think that it's quite aggressive (it may not be but just making a point that it's what I see through your logo right now) and also in my opinion from what i've seen it doesn't really give a good impression for a political party don't you think?

Well when I say radical I mean as in radical politics, what would be considered extreme in America today. Much of the left-wing today is comprised of many Capitalist Liberals, Social Democrats, and other moderates. Our organization is a local as well as online group of people that put their political beliefs on the far-left side of the political spectrum (i.e. Communists, Marxists, Socialists, Anarchists, etc.)

However, just because our politics may seem extreme, that doesn't we are violent. We are not a violent group and don't think that violence must be used to obtain our goals unless if it was completely necessary, such as living in conditions that are absolutely horrible and other things like that.



Anyways, thank you all for your contributions but I think I am going to go with modman's logo. It was a hard choice, but I just feel it fitted the theme best.
