    hello,

I need help regarding to open my new website, but i need some help here. Thou, I have done a little research about it.
Here is what I have found justhost.com as paid solution or host1free.com as free web hosting solution any reviews about those companies?
Here is my question to you:
    1. What is difference between free and paid hosting?
    2. Are those companies known well and are they reliable?

    thanks, in advance.:)

Paid hosting is more reliable, if you plan to have a great website or business than paid hosting is the way, Bandwdith is important as if you run out no one can access your site, more visitors = more bandwidth used. Free wont offer you enough, depending on what type of business you run. For example, facebook would need unlimited bandwidth because they have millions of people on there.

You need a package that you can upgrade if your site becomes very popular, free hosting plans you probably can't upgrade. Very very important & also you need a hosting service with 99.9% uptime no one likes there site to be down...

Eh with the last questions some known company's **Will** be reliable but once they have a lot of customers there server goes boooooooooooom

Have look at no. of satisfied customers.

I would like to suggest you to collect reviews of many Hosting Vendors and examine that how old they are in hosting business(experience) and how much is there customer strength. Visit there forums and look how the complaint tickets are solved and what is the opinion of the people who are currently consuming the services.

I have created a website before using www.1and1.co.uk

I found it to be a very reliable service and more often than not they have deals on. E.g. when i first bought the domain name and webspace for my website I bought a 2 year contract, however 1st year was free.

It is also very easy to use.

    Hope this helps?

hioxindia.com maybe reliable but their free hosting does not provide FTP so you will not able to upload your contents to build the website. Your site will be built by their scripts and will also contain ads. I just signed up with host1free.com and I built the site without difficulty:
admin: Home Page | odCMS - Open Designs Content Management System

I sent them an email requesting a Linux Hosting Coupon key couple hours ago and I'm still waiting for it…

    Update (08:56 AM)...

I received the Key and required to fill a form for setting up a website. I completed the form and now got this:

    Thanks for your order
Your order has been submitted for processing.

You will get a mail (with your site information) once the order has been processed.

    11:35 AM I'm still waiting...

I signed up our non-profit group with Namecheap and i find the customer support to be lacking. Sure it was cheap, but getting the URL redirect isn't as easy as their help files say it is... Everytime I try the redirect, my email goes down?!??! :(

I wouldn't go for a free host if you expect your website to be any kind of success.

I had a site on byethost, which is a free host, but if I went over a certain level of traffic (not much), it shut down my site for 24 hours. I've since used 000webhost, which is slightly better, but still no comparison to paid hosts.

You can get a decent host for about $5 a month - well worth it, if you're looking to have a successful site.

    Hi.
I used to use free hosting services for quite some time. Starting from the age of 13, actually. Free hosts are... slow, usually. They've got limited space, limited number of databases available, sometimes ads. If you got money to spare (I didn't), go for a paid hosting. Don't overpay though. If you don't... then try to choose a nice free host. If you don't need much space, it should be easy to find. Try to get one without ads though, ads annoys customers A LOT.

As for paid hosts, I'd recommend Willy Geerts or Free Web Hosting - Host1Free. I'm using Willy's hosting services, they are very nice as for an European user. If you want to get his contacts, I've got his MSN. PM me, if you want a hosting company in Belgium, I'll send you his contacts, if he lets me.

I so agree on with that! I was with byethost as well, and it just didn't deliver satisfactory output. I can only say that after all the trouble with the free host I have now changed to IX Webhosting, you pay a little but for that you get good service and good value for money as well.

I have set up with a company called varihost. They seem pretty good and the site details appear quite easy even for a novice.

I personally haven't heard of those, but i'm new to this whole website building process. I paid for godaddy.com and I like it. it's easy to use, but it was complicated getting what i needed to pay for because i didn't quite understand the difference in each package of website building. BUT i called their customer service number and they're amazing! they're really patient and nice and they would spend hours on the phone with you trying to help you build what you wanted with your site. (i was too embarrassed to do that even though i really wanted to, but for the most part i managed to make my way around it and figure out certain details.)

Using free web hosting service have many limitations,it is good to use free web host service for small business. If your business is medium or large then you should opt for paid service as they are trustworthy,in addition to that they also provide good features like more storage space, technical support, bandwidth and many more ......it all depends on which web hosting service provider you select........

Host Department provides better service with affordable price, compare to other hosting companies HD is the best. I had some bad reviews about the Host Department especially about its downtime but I am not facing any kind of problem with Host Department they are also providing Instant Activations.

I wish to thank Host Department for the Great Service most of the time I got quick response from their support team. Now they improved many things, since 4 years I am a Customer of Host Department and only once I faced downtime problem.
