Modern, whatever that means to you. But I prefer simple black and white. I am considering a white business card with black/silver or grey logo.

The picture of the two logos is something I came up with but you can see that they aren't much. I was hoping someone could improve on them and make them better. I like the "EHP|HOLMES" logo but as you can see it does not convey photography.

 

Here's just one idea; I have to go somewhere, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm definitely interested in helping you out with this!

 

Thanks for your help but I think that example is just too busy. The font I used in the examples is trajan pro. And if anyone just want to go out on a limb with their own design feel free. Just simple and modern. I want it to say, the photographer looks like he would cost a lot of money to use, lol. I like this logo also.

 

aha! i was wondering which font that was -- i've used it several times in the past year, but i just couldn't remember what it was called. i only remembered that it was two words and started with a t. haha

You request a graphic from before when other designers have given their time for it. Then you say it's great and I don't know if you've used it or not. Then when we ask for help you disappear? and then come back again asking for a change? When you havn't helped out within the forum not once and within that time new members have come along and are helping out a lot (see above member) and then saying that you don't have a logo?

...are you serious?

Thanks Cynthia. I am really torn between post #5 and the second one in post #6. I like how the seconde one on post #6 is linear and can be real unobtrusive to the picture if I choose it to be. But I also like the first one in post six. Gah!!!

If you want my honest opinion, then I prefer the logo in post #5. The reason is because it's simpler than the other one.

But, hey, it's up to you. Anyway, if you're really torn between the two, then you can always do a poll or something...?

I see what you mean about the simplicity of #5. It just seems like that font is a little too "rounded". If that makes any sense? It's hard to describe. I pile the way lower case letters look but I like the way that Trajan looks real classy.

Why are you requesting another one?

 

That post was handled between me and the designer via email. I let him know that the design was ultimately too small when sized don the business card size. You could not read the photography part. As you can also see, I made a thread so I could help out and do my part. I offered free photos and would even do special requests. No one ever responded to my offer. I did not want to be a free loader. Any other questions you have for me, feel free to PM me.

 

Eric - so did you want that logo? Do you want me to edit anything or add to it..?
Also, let me know what files you need the logo saved as. So far, I've got it saved a .psd file, 200dpi, CMYK because you said that you might be printing the logo. Let me know!

 

I also like the look of this one. See how it looks so classy and elegant and everything is nestled together. I want to appeal to a more upper class of clientele.

That's why I have chose to use my own name instead of a cliche "momenta caught in time" title. I Stan behind my work completely.

 

haha i was trying to avoid something like that because i just made a photography logo that looked similar to that and i wanted to try other types of text-based logos :]
