Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can help me. I run a small junior football club established in 2008. i thought it was time we had a reasonable badge / logo. So I ran a competition amongst the players and I have attached the two finalists. Unfortunately they have hand drawn the entries - I would like to get both of these printed up on shirts but I need high quality graphics - any chance anyone can draw these up for me as png's etc?

The name of the club is Warthfold United FC.

    Thanks

    Dave.

WUFC_Dave Hi and welcome to the forum.
We do have a member named CovertPea who is a Fantastic Graphic Artist from down under and she is the one who creates all of the Soccer Logos. But alas she is in disposed for about the next two weeks as she and her family are in the process of moving a good days ride from the old homestead.
I'll see what I can do for you, in the mean time while don't you give us a bit more detail about these kids you coach. It's always nice to here a story about the young-ins and how they are being nurtured.

You did say these logos are for Printing -with ink on shirts?

Hi, thanks for the quick response and thanks for the welcome. Yes, I intend to print the logos on football / soccer shirts or even have them embroidered - it depends upon cost. We also will use them on club headers etc.

We are based in the north west of the UK, and play in the Bury / Bolton area, which is about 10 miles from Manchester. The club is just coming up to two years old in June. In 2008, the team / club that my son and friends played for decided to quit football to become more of a community sports club offering a wide range of sports but with no real focus on football. So myself and several parents decided to create our own club - no easy task - there is much 'red tape' including FA qualifications / training, insurance, Criminal Record checks, and off course funding/sponsorship etc that are needed to be put in place. Anyway we got there and had one team in the 2008/9 season. We finished middle of the league. We won the league fair play award. We managed to attract more players and coaches and for the last season 2009/10 we have ran three teams - 2 x Under15's and 1 U12's. One of the U15's have just won the league and got knocked out of the league cup at the semi-final, quite an achievement as we took out several top teams from two divisions higher out on the way.

So now we are established and the foundations created we are trying to move on for next season. We are in the process of being UK FA charter marked and are creating links with local schools to try and bring in more teams etc. Funding is always a challenge.

Hope this helps - our website is WarthfoldUnited.co.uk

    Dave.

Ah the things we do for our kids, it's the never ending cycle.
But from the sounds as if you really have a handle on things and all Adult and Kids are having fun.

Anyway I tried to reproduce the winners logos, the only thing was figuring out the colors, so if you need them changed let me know or anything else.
These posted here are just for th forum not the printers.
    Tell me what you think.

Yeah, takes at least a day a week out of my time - things we do!!..
Really really good these thanks. We play in a navy blue and a sky blue kit, so it would be good if you can make the darker blue a little darker please.

I really do appreciate your help on this

    Thanks very much.

    Dave.

Never had all that red tape before, just gather up a bunch of players, maybe replace one during the season, one team shirts - one skins, go out and have fun. But the world keeps changing.

    How are these colors?

    Absolutely fantastic, thanks very much.

The world is going mad with red tape especially the UK. We can't even take a team photo without getting the consent of all parents first!!!

    Anyway, onwards....

    Thanks again

    Brilliant work there Dave.
And that was a great idea (WUFC_Dave) to run a competition to design their own team badge!!

    Cheers and good luck!

Thanks CP - Nice to see you back - I suppose you are still setting up house and will be for awhile so don't kill yourself with team badges. I'll bet it's nice to be closer to the kids.

With all that Dave and the other parents do for the kids, this request was truly worth the time and effort.
