Information (or content) in the body of the page
    (from "freetutorials" HTML Editors)
    KompoZer
an open source web site design and development tool, editing
take place in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) mode

    changed to:
    KompoZer
an open source website design and web development tool,
editing take place in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)
    mode

Note: changed web site to website and development to
    web development

"Wordtracker" listing for those keyword phrases

    website design 4,761
    web site design 2,605

(notice the difference - change the words SLIGHTLY in the meta tags
and the body to reflect the results of a keyword search)

    web development 2,008
    development 1,051

We all need to do this (notice the minor changes) and the information (or content) in the body does not change the meaning or interpretation (means the same as before the change). This is what I meant by changing the body to reflect the keyword search.

discussourfuture all that great help from navyfalcon is going to end up in the dumpster if you do not take a serious look at your code.
To put it mildly it is mess up something bad and there are several errors in coding.

When I went back to see the progress on your site I found a splash page for language, being small it was easier to use that one to explain things here, a lot of which will work in serveal of your pages. You can look at your own code as I am only going to dispaly the code I worked on.

For reference browsers read your webpage top down and execute functions in that order.

DTD tells the browser how the file is written you used "Strict" which does not support many of you css declorations such as "text-align: center;" you should use "Transitional".
Your <link rel="stylesheet" and "title" should be at the top of your head section.
Title is the first place google pulls from to create a snipit description of your site.

<meta name="abstract" should be added for the human reader which helps in seach engine discription and placement.

Javascript should be the last thing before the close </head>.
If you can load java at the end of the file before the close </body> then that is the most ideal situation.

You left an enormous amount of code on the page which does nothing. Several bits of that code is making HTTP requests required to render the page which do not exist.

The biggest problem is gostats where it is located and the 72 times you are calling it. Google and the rest of the search engines will never index you this way. See graphic as to all the HTTP requests to it.

Finally when I looked at the splash page I keep asking myself What future is being discussed? My marriage, the lottery I might win or maybe how my grand kids will turn out? It was really vague and really didn't want to make me select English to find out more, as I'm sure the search engines think, where do we put this???
My thoughts would be to say "Sustainable Earth Initiative" which focuses right in to what you are about.
Any way here is the code I believe gostats will work and not interfere. I also added two graphics for you to look at.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Ishkey, I don't want to give the impression that I don't appreciate Falcons' help. I expressed my gratitude several times, but just having started a new job, building a new house and having to do this project almost all by myself so far (website maintenance, content, trying to organize a festival, updating pages on facebook, etc.), I haven't really had the time to further improve the website. I only started truly webdesigning 3 months ago, so these things are pretty hard to do for me. As Falcon states, very much is in the details of the words, descriptions, meta's, etc. that one uses, and this takes me a lot of time.

You are very right that there is a lot of "non-used" html code. I am always a bit afraid to see what I can take out. For instance I thought I removed a redundant part once, and it messed up everything completely :) And sometimes I am completely amazed by how things turn out. I can't remember copying in 72 GoStats lines for instance.

Anyway, I am slowly getting back a bit more time and I will definitely sit for it again very soon.

Again, I do very much appreciate all the help Falcon, and now you, are providing me :)

    Cheers,

    Bram

    Busy busy goodluck on everything.
When you get back to the web read about the comment command in HTML.
That way you can comment out code so it won't display in the browser and yet you can still see the code as you work. Then you can delete what needs to come out after you see if it works.

Hmm, I was on another computer the other day using Internet Explorer, and my website looked pretty messed up (different fonts for instance). Is this a common problem? Or could it just be the computer I was on? The thing is that I never heard anyone commenting on this before.

ps perhaps a bit off-topic here, but I received a question from someone whether it's possible to link a webform to an excel database (i.e. you can select a number of options and excel record the chosen options). At first i thought this would be pretty easy, but I can't figure it out. Anyone has any ideas?

    - There is a difference in how different browsers display the page but the same browser on different computers (only if different versions of the browser) - To test different browsers and different versions use browser shots Check Browser Compatibility, Cross Platform Browser Test - Browsershots - Don't check more than 10 different types at once or it will take too long to load - this should answer your question - falcon
