    Is there an image file missing in that zip file download? Safari tells me that there's "an error" and it's looking for page_bg.jpg.

    Your right there is a small error:
    The page_bg.jpg doesn't get used so it's not included in the zip file.
    Just remove this line from the style.css file:
    Code:
    background: url(images/page_bg.jpg);
    Or you can redownload the template.
