    Hi,
I'm so glad i came across this website, because i think i need some expert help.
I am in the process of setting up a local group for people with mental health difficulties where they can find non-judgemental support and a place to relax.
We had some ideas for what we wanted our logo to look like, and as we will be wanting to use it in a large format for posters it is quite detailed/specific, it seems to be surpassing my abilities through Paint (i know, but i love that program, simple and back to basics).
I was wondering if you might be able to put something together.
The group will be called Hope, and our idea for a logo is the following:

    1) We want there to be a group of 'people' holding 3 puzzle peices as here:
    http://www.mssheridan.com/puzzle_20pieces_20resized.jpg
(The colours being your standard Blue, yellow, red, green, etc)

    2) Approaching the group will be 2 'people' carrying the last piece of the puzzle together, like with this one (except with 1 puzzle piece and less alien-like figures)

When finding examples to show you, we came across the above images and really liked the black and white unisex 'people' they show, as well as the graphicy style and shadowed floor.

If possible, can who ever is able to design this make 2 versions, one as above and one with the letters 'h' 'o' 'p' and 'e' on the puzzles pieces respectively.

You would be helping us so so much in getting this project going - thank you!

Do you want it in 3d?

Creating just one of those 3D-ish characters would take a fair amount of time yet alone a whole bunch interacting with puzzle bits too.
That kind of time I just don't have. Sorry.
You might consider employing a paid graphic artist to make what you want or buy the pre-made art work as shown in your last link.
(if those options don't suit you may have to do a total rethink about your intended logo style)

    Ok thanks anyway, boemboem.
And sorry covert, since this is a charity group that will be run out of a local church, we haven't got the funding to employ a proper designer - thats why i was so glad to find this site.

Maybe you have to consider an other design with other examples :)
