Legacy help designing a logo for new rental property

Hi There...my husband & I are opening a new rental property in Nova Scotia and I've been trying for months to design a logo. Everything I come up with looks like it was drawn by a 2 year old...lol

1) What is your website address : We don't have a website yet, but I am working on it. It will be called scotiavacations.com
2) Description of your website:
3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why: our symbol will be the scottish thistle like the one pictured here ( http://www.printsofscotland.com/images/w39large.jpg )

but in a simplistic form, not necessarily a real picture. I had the idea of placing the image of the thistle behind the letter V in vacations and the vines forming a decorative banner underneath the whole logo

4) Requested size of your logo: 600x500 pixels
5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo?
6) Any colors you prefer? pinks and dark greens with black lettering
