Customization Customise CoD2 template

Hi everyone, I don't need a banner anymore as I managed to do one in GIMP. A friend showed me where I was going wrong.

What I do need though, is some help customising the Call of Duty 2 template.

I have replaced the banner at the top with my own banner which is 1000 pixels wide so I changed one of the setting in the style.css file to accomodate this.

Where I am struggling is with the following. I want to remove the right hand column which has the photographs and stretch the middle boxes so they fill the space left by the right hand column.

Can anyone help? When I change the width of the middle column in style.css, all I get is the box starting again.
