I'm a law school student starting a club named the "Business & Transactions Law Society" and would very much appreciate your help in designing a professional crest that will be a good representation of the club that would incorporate the club's name.

    1) http://businesstransactionsclub.homestead.com/
    2) The website is a student-created site designed to attract prospective employers, fellow students, as well as other professionals interested in corporate law students at the law school. The website is meant to convey a professional and established student organization.
    3) I really like the acorn shaped traditional crest because I think it looks very professional and appealing. Additionally, it would be nice to somehow incorporate the Cross in some form (since the law school is part of a religious university).
    Specific crests I like:
http://www.sirclisto.com/brun5.jpg - I like the flowing leaves in the background and also how the organization's name can be incorporated at the bottom of the crest.
http://www.wuhsd.k12.ca.us/81175914123620/lib/81175914123620/lshs_crest.jpg - I like the general layout of this crest and how the main armor is divided into 4 parts.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/07/AldenhamSchool_Crest.JPG - I like how this crest gives you the feeling that it represents an established and credible organization.
    4) I would like the crest/logo to be large enough that it could grace a fairly good portion of a regular sheet of paper without looking pixilized, but be able to shrunk such that it could fit in smaller areas. Additionally, if the crest could somehow incorporate a shape that embodies "the law" and if possible "corporate law" it would be much appreciated.
    5) I do not have any images for the logo.
    6) I would prefer the colors of navy blue, dark red, and gold, as found on my school's website (http://law.liberty.edu/).

I sincerely appreciate your willingness to design my crest! Thank you sooo much!!!

I've not seen this 'acorn shaped traditional crest'. Can you post a link to an image of it please?

I apologize for my rudimentary description of what I was wanting. I have edited my initial post's #3 to include 3 links to crests I like. They show the shape I was intending to describe. Sorry for the confusion :)

Thank you. I have something to go on now.
By the way, those examples you've posted are basically heraldic crests. Such beautiful work.
The various animals / symbols usually represent certain characteristics of their owners.
Maybe you could take a look here for something to add to the logo crest that would be a representation of your club.

This may take a few days to get done as I've got a few other logos to finish for other members.
    Cheers

I think the moor cock (symbolizing law) and the swallow (symbolizing business) may be good to place in the crest, in addition to somehow incorporating the Christian cross. I cannot seem to find an image of either the moor cock or swallow (only found descriptions) so I'd have to see what they look like as part of the crest.

I really do appreciate your effort and time in putting this together for me!

Below are images I found on a heraldry site (albeit kind of rough) of both a moor cock and a swallow. I'm sure I could improve on them though.

I think the moor cock would fit in with a professional crest. We can forego the swallow.

I found that a 'moor cock' is a type of grouse. Also found a better looking swallow.
What do you think of this:

    That looks beautiful.

Would you be willing to substitute a "scales of justice" symbol in lieu of the moor cock. It might be a better and more readily identifiable icon for law.

    Thank you so much!

That looks like a very well-done crest :)

Would it be possible to work some gold into the crest? There were a few different ways I was thinking it may look good...

    1) Having two opposite sections of the shield in gold with the other two opposit sections remaining in red.
    OR
    2) Somehow making the flowing leaves be tinged in gold.
    OR
    3) Having the cross and/or shield's outline in gold.

    What do you think?

Now that I see it with gold, I think it looks better without it.

Just one final request. The crest looks slightly to the left of center. Would you be able to center the crest within the "box" that it's in so that if I place a border around it in MS Word it will look centered?

Do you send the original file that you are working from too?

I really appreciate you doing this for me. I have attempted to make one myself before, but it did not look nearly as good as what you have created. Thank you so much!

If possible, would you be able to place the crests on here with the white background and the other back grounds?

    Thanks so much!

I've attached a zipped file of the image. Still in layered format.
Also added 2 smaller transparent copies, one in colour and the other b & w.

The program I am using apparently does not allow me to use psd files. Would you be able to post these different variations of the logo on this site as a .jpg so I could use them on my website?

This crest looks great. Thank you for doing such a great job and putting in the effort to making this for me. I really, really appreciate it.

Try replacing this jpg with the one that's on your site at the moment.

    Perfect background matching, thanks!

I was also wanting to use the logo in some MS Word documents, which would require me to have it in a jpg or bmp format I think. Would you be able to provide a couple versions of the crest in those formats with a white or clear background for use in Word documents, perhaps a large and a small version of each?

    Here's another zipped file attached.
Contains 2 large and 2 smaller logos in both jpg and png (transparent) format.
    Both work in MS Word.
