Software Micorsoft Office Power Point

I was hopping that some one one here could help me understand more about Microsoft Power Point. Any help at this point would be a great help to me.

 

What exactly is it you are wishing to know more about, MS Power point is quite a vast program.

 

Well I have figured out how to make slide shows but thats it. I don't know what else power point does. It seems as though power point is just for business which I have no use for. What else does power point do and what is it used for?
