Hi, I have a site called videogamesandgadgets.co.uk which I had upgraded a bit recently.
I would appreciate some honest feedback on the functionality and design of the site. Its an affiliate site and I would love to find out if it motivates you to go spending [IMG] Thanks for your help.

    Aesthetics & Eye Appeal
    Personality:

    1. Does the site's look and feel seem to match the subject matter? Absolutely on target.
    2. Does the site align visually with the intended reader or market? I think it could use a bit more life, but for the most part, yes.
    3. Do you immediately get a sense of what the site is all about? Yes.
    4. Could you easily see "About" and security information? Was unable to locate it.

    Design & Layout

    1. Are the graphics appropriate to the subject of the site? Yes.
    2. Are the graphics appropriate for the intended audience? Yes.
    3. Are there graphics that seem superfluous or unnecessary? Not at all.
    4. Is the color scheme appealing and suggestive of the topic? I feel it's a bit basic, and targeting the gamer market, I think I bit more color could do some good.
    5. Is the layout cramped and 'too full' or is there proper spacing and visual rest areas? The spacing is very good, I don't feel like it's cluttered at all.
    6. Is your eye drawn to the most important elements? Do they then relate into the content? Again, it's very easy to locate the important elements, but I don't feel like I'm particularly drown to any part of the site.

    Reader Usability

    1. Is the site understandable? Very much so.
    2. Did you know what to do to get to the information you wanted? Yes.
    3. Were there guide posts or 'help' features included? Not that I noticed, but I don't feel it's necessary, site is very well put together and straight forward.
    4. Are the areas of content clearly defined? Yes.
    5. Were there distractions like spam and blinking ads? No.
    6. Are there visual elements, design elements, pictures, or content blocks that are distracting, or that keep you from flowing into the content message? Not at all.

    Functionality

    1. Is navigation Intelligent, logical and clearly understandable? Yes.
    2. Does the technology work - Java, scripts, movies, etc. or are you required to load a program or do something in order to use the site? From what I could tell, yes.
    3. Do buttons and links send you where you expected to go? Yes.

    Page Source

    1. Does the title have a brief description (max 66 characters including spaces) and does it include the most important keywords? Yes.
    2. Is the description clearly understandable and does it match the site (max 150 characters including spaces) and does it include keywords? Yes,
    3. Is the keyword list a reasonable length (not excessive) and have they been checked in a keyword suggestion tool?
    4. Are the keywords used in the body of the page?
    5. Is the page source for each page directed for that page content? Yes.

    1. Does the site's look and feel seem to match the subject matter? Yes, right on the spot.
    2. Does the site align visually with the intended reader or market? Easy to navigate and not overly burdened. Yes, its
    3. Do you immediately get a sense of what the site is all about? Yes.
    4. Could you easily see "About" and security information? Hard to find, white text on a bright grey outline is not easy to read or find.

    Design & Layout

    1. Are the graphics appropriate to the subject of the site? Yes.
    2. Are the graphics appropriate for the intended audience? Yes.
    3. Are there graphics that seem superfluous or unnecessary? No
    4. Is the color scheme appealing and suggestive of the topic? A more filled backround would do the trick. Maybe a huge commercial of a big game or an artwork of a game over the whole backround would do wonders to your site.
    5. Is the layout cramped and 'too full' or is there proper spacing and visual rest areas? Its quite ok
    6. Is your eye drawn to the most important elements? Do they then relate into the content? Could find everything I was interested in easily.

Well.. I think that your website has some basic features of design. So I don't recognize anything incorrect in your creation.

    Thanks!!

  7. Looks good. But some how it didn't occupy full width of android browser and not sure whether it persists in desktop sites too.

I like the feel of the site, the colors are easy on the eyes and not to flashy/distracting. Very fast page load and easy navigation. Good job!

I kind'a like it! It has the basic functions that a console gaming website has to have :)
A black background will look better in my opinion :)
    Good Job!
