Closed Non-Profit Need your HELP!!! PLEASE. Dog Rescue

Hello,
Me and my wife have just started a non-profit Pit-bull and Rottweiler rescue. We need someone to make a web page for us. We would like it to be up to date with flash and very eye catching. You can use generic photos BUT there is 2 photos that i would like to see on the page that i will provide on request. The photos are of two of our dogs that we have here. You may want to think about having the website made in HTML5 rather than Flash.

Flash is a big security issue just by having it installed on your PC, new security bugs are found in it every week.

With HTML5 your users will also be able to see it from more devices then a flash page. Like on mobile devices, Iphon, IPad, Android phones, tablets...

You can make your own webpage with a good (free) HTML Editor that also does CSS.
You can start with a free template and add your own content. By the way, this site is "free website templates". You may want to look at the free website templates on this site first, then if you do not find what you can use,
do a google search for "free website templates" and look at their templates.

This doesn't have anything to do with creating a website but it's regarding a fantastic free fundraising website which I use for my football team. It's called Fundraising Ideas | easyfundraising.org.uk

Like I said, it's free to register your charity and i'm sure once one of these very kind people help you with your website then you would have no trouble finding 'supporters' to help your very good cause. It really is easy to start and once a few people know about it the much needed funds will start to come in. Check out the website for some better information though as it's definately worth a read.

Have you guys considered applying for a grant? They have topics like this giving away money to people who want to rescue/help animals all the time. Look into that, and message me if you need help.

 

I've also heard that flash isn't recognized by some search engines and therefore would show up as a kind of empty page to searching. I heard it was best to at least have some sort of entrance page before you hit just Flash....I hope that makes sense.

 

Grants and Our Site

We are working on that.. Very slow and tedius process and ALOT of denials so far. Due to the age of the non-profit.

On a lighter note.. we are still looking for someone to re-do our site as we have gotten a LOT of comments that the site does not look professional and that was the reason for 2 people not giving us a grant. Please I am begging this community for someone to help us out and make our site for us.. Thank you

 

For obtaining grants, nothing beats the public library for information (Reference section), then you will have internet addresses to further check.
Check with the librarian for help.

Sounds like a good idea.

 

Have you checked with the public library (reference section) ? They have books on how to write for a Grant and books on Grant applications. Different Grants have different qualifications.
Also check for Grant writing lessons and training with the library or public schools. Schools apply for Grants and have training on "how to write for a grant".
