Legacy I AC logo request

I would like to request a logo for I AC, a gaming clan within World of Tanks. Here's my go at answering all the questions put forth.

Exact Name in Logo: Three possibilities: 1. "I AC" 2. "1st Armored Corps" 3. "I Armored Corps" I have no particular preference to them, save the one that fits best into the design. Also, (as noted below, if there is a ribbon included) the motto "Brethren in Arms", though this is more of an afterthought and wouldnt be an element that would cause me to dislike a design.

Web Address: None currently. I will likely structure the site to how I feel fits best around the logo.

Description of Website: None currently: [FONT=&quot]Website: The logo will be displayed in the top-center or top-left, above a horizontal rule, (probably red or gold) with navigation (likely gold colored) down the left side, and main content in the center. The overall look will be miliataristic (stencil typography, etc)

Not really, though the general style I am looking for (though somewhat conflicting) is heraldic in nature, (medieval Europe… IE, Shield center, ribbon under) and military shoulder-flash style (Unit number/name with some heraldic elements, such as treads, lightning bolt, etc) The I Armored Corps shoulder flash (attached) is an example of the colors, but not the over all design. I am more looking for something similar to the Russian Coat of Arms (attached) with the clan specific elements there, instead of the Russian elements.

Requested size: No real hard preference. 600*400 would be a bit larger than I would prefer, but I can work with nearly any size. Width maximum I would set at 600px or so. Primary use is for the web.

Images/photos that can be used? No, I do not (unfortunately).

Logo style: Text and image is preferred. Clan name and possibly motto, depending on style (Motto for sure, if the design included a ribbon/shield combination)

Primary colors: I would like the colors in the I Armored Corps file to be included (the blue/gold/red). The background will be either black or dark grey, png format with transparent background would be ideal. The red could be left out of the primary logo if the ribbon is included.

Colors not to include: Pinks, purples, etc... the colors that dont really fit with the military scheme (neverminding pink camo.)

Top 3 things: [/FONT] The primary goal of the logo is to stand out above other gaming clans, when incorporated into our forums and site, as well as possibly into banners.Also we would like to communicate strength as a group, and unity.


Logo will only be used on a website, though possibly in print in a later date.

A design idea that I had, but can't do myself: Ribbon with motto, "wrapped" onto shield with a lightning bolt (vertical in the center) with a tank turret sticking out above the shield. The ribbon would be red, with gold edges, the shield blue, with a gold lightning bolt in the center, the turret olive drab, and the clan name on the top of the shield, in silver (as well as the motto in silver)

Ooh, WoT I got bored of it just before the beta ended, now I really cant be bothered to go through all that again and get my upgraded KV back I miss the fella.

 

hehehe yup, I played since about 3 months before release, and we're getting all geared up to get into clan wars now

 

Correction on name: We've been voted to have "Devil's Brigade" as the name, rather than the I AC.

I'm fair with photoshop, but nowhere near the skill level you guys display... these would take me a week to put together, with nowhere near the results.

As for a top clan? Time will tell We have the tools, and we work well together. We can only hope

That's a really good question... ^_^

The first place I'm using it is in a phpbb3 install, I'll go rip the header apart and see how big the current one is... that shouldnt be an issue there, since it can be resized via html/php though.

I have no problems resizing it if necessary with CSS/XHTML, but I'll go look and see about how big we want it.

 

It looks like the current is a header bar, so I'll have to put a background under it, the size is 960*203px.

For a web application, I'm thinking 400px or so high, and proportionate, but that's just a preliminary guess. I haven't even started the page yet though, so I'm flexible

Also, I am still open to looking at other designs if for no other reason than they are really cool
And I wouldn't mind being able to show the members a couple of designs and let them choose one, so if you have one in progress, feel free to finish it up, and I'll see what my members think
