Legacy Need a logo for my new website

I just started a new website called Above Miami. Its going to be a website where I post pictures I take from the top of building in Miami Florida or things that I see like Air Plains Flying above Miami. The site will be open for anyone to join in and post their own photo's.

I'll see what I can do to help out around here (dont have any art design skills) maybe I can give feedback or input. Also since I host my own site and have decent bandwidth I would be willing to give anyone who tries to make a logo for my site FTP access to host things like pictures. If I use your logo you will be given credit on the site as well as a link back to your own website.



1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
I have nothing set in stone. I like to keep it as simple. Either "Above Miami" or some type of "AM" monogram.

site is for uploading pictures and videos taken up above Miami Florida

5) Requested size of your logo:
I would like the logo to be large (around 600 x 600) so I could use it for both a watermark on large images and I can easily just resize it down for smaller things like placing the logo on the top of the website.

6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
No

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
I have no preference, the designers can be creative.

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Orange or Blue

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
N/A

10) Describe the target audience for your logo
Target audience is all ages, anyone who would like to look through photo's of Miami Flroida.

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Unique so people who have been to the site would remember what site it is if they just see the logo.

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
The logo will be needed for three things. The first thing would be for the actual websites Logo that is on the top of every page. The second use would be for allowing users who upload pictures to add the logo as a watermark. The website has an option to allow users to enable a watermark over photo's they upload. The watermark would be the sites logo and is automatically applied to the photos.
And the 3rd thing is something I will do If I can depending on if its doable, I would use the logo for a custom Favicon for the site.

Great pictures, but I'm looking for something more like an actual Logo.

something simple with no background. It would mainly be seen on the page as a replacement for the current image on the page that just says Gallery in orange.


Maybe something with the letters A M

 

While reading over the forums I saw someone posted a link to make your own crest online.

I tried it out and may just end up sticking with this one. Feel free to try and make something else I can use and let me know what you think about this one I generated online.
