Legacy requesting for a football logo or crest

    its going to be used in a football manager game.

    i would just like to make some changes on the logo above

    from the colors already present i would just like to add another color: black

    a fierce club with pride and excellence in mind

    i would like to replace the fish with a dog head.
    something fierce... :)
    I would also like another star just below the club name making the 3 stars points in a triangle (the dog head inside)
    please take away the football in the background and make the whole crest bigger
    lastly the flag that is depicted in a circle to be little bigger and recognizable
    you could also change the shield/crest shape
    thanks a lot!

    14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.

    Hey Sarsi,
    It would help us if you could supply an (uncopyrighted) image of a dog's head.
    There's a mean looking dog HERE but he'll cost you $18.97

    Also, the crest shown above, does that belong to you?

    how would you know if certain material are copyrighted?
    anyways the crest was made for me...i also requested for it...
    so i am not really sure if i can claim it as actually mine...
    thats why i wanted t make some changes...
    i dont think i could spend money on this one...
    so anything free would do...

    Hello Sarsi, we must have posted at exactly the same time! :D
    Difficult question.
    Most designers display copyright details of their images on their own site. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop any Jack or Jill from copying that image and sticking them on their own sites. Next, someone else copies it from there and on and on it goes...
    until no one is sure who the original designer was and if the thing ever had a copyright on it.

    But if you start using that image on something high profile or commercial, you can bet your bottom dollar the original designer will come along and sue you for theft. (and he's quite entitled to!)

    There are also heaps of images that are marketed under the "Creative Commons" title. They're usually free to use for personal sites but most (if any) can be used commercially.

    So as you can see, it takes a whole lot of research to ensure you've done the right thing. This is why we ask members if they can supply a (non-copyright) image for us to use in their design.
    Most of us on FWT are strapped for time when it comes to creating requested logos and crests and we can't afford to do the heavy research as well.

    Forest means the original digital version of the logo you had made. (The one you posted on your very first post) Is that the only image you got from the person that made it for you?

    oh ok. but dont worry its not high profile or anything commercial its just for fun and representation. so i dont think the original designer will be angry or something. as he also made the logo for me for the same purpose and that is to use in an online football manager game.

    The file type which you were given, sould end jpeg, PNG, AI etc.... basicly what you uploaded do you have other type of it?

    ok, next step...if not a bulldog (IMPO the most fierce) what breed of dog were you looking for? trying to cut the options down now....lol
