Legacy I need help with a logo please

I have just started my own 5 a side football team called A.F.C MEDWAY and I need a badge that would suit the name.

It needs to stand out and have some kind of ship in the logo as we are very close to a war time dockyard.

Also it needs to have 'Founded 2010' in it somewhere and I would like the badge to be a shield design.

Can anybody help me please????

The 'Medway United FC' crest was actually created for me and is currently being printed onto our new rain jacket.

Rob is a friend of mine and is starting a new 5 a side team called 'AFC Medway' who require a separate logo for the new shirts.

I will also be playing for this team so suggested that Rob visits this website as the logo you created for me was superb.

I will speak to Rob and ask him to confirm a few extra things like colours and exact wording for the crest but I think he would like it to be a different than the 'Medway United FC' design so that the 2 clubs are not confused.

I hope this clears the issue up.

If you could base the badge on the colour Blue which fits in around Medway and really just do one as I described above.......

Hi, sorry to bump Rob's thread but i thought i would supply some more detailed answers to the questions in the hope of getting a design created for our new 5-a-side team.


1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Could we please have the words 'AFC Medway' above the logo, and the words 'Founded 2010' somewhere within the design, preferably at the bottom.

2) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?

We do not currently have a website as it is only a 5-a-side team but as Rob mentioned we are looking to start a Facebook group.

3) Description of your website:

N/A

4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?

I think we are looking at having a shield style design in the style of maybe Aston Villa or Portsmouth football clubs.

5) Requested size of your logo:

Could we please have the logo in high resolution as it is to be used for shirt designs and as a profile picture on our Facebook group, as for sizes a rescaleable .png with a transparent background would be great.

6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)

Unfortunately we have no images for the badge but as mentioned if it could incorporate a football/maritime theme that would be great. I see that Rob has mentioned the use of maybe a Naval Ship so if this could appear in the design that would be appreciated.

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

Text and Image please, as mentioned a Naval Ship as an image and the words 'AFC Medway' and 'Founded 2010' included in the design.

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?

A mixture of Dark Blue/Light Blue/Black/White would be great.

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?

Anything that clashes so maybe Red/Green/Orange.

10) Describe the target audience for your logo

This logo will be aimed at Football players and the general public so a professional design would be appreciated.

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

Just the general idea of the Football team.

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

This logo will be printed onto our shirts which are to be ordered next week and will be used on all future club equipment and websites.

13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?

I would appreciate any of the designers on here having a go at the club crest and i look forward to seeing the crest once it is complete.

Thats a superb design DPbrad, i will have a word with Rob and the other members of the team and see what they think. Has anyone else managed to come up with a design ?

I am especially looking forward to an attempt by CP as the one she done for Medway United was superb.

DPbrad is there any chance of seeing a version without the watermarking to get a better idea of the ship etc.

I dont think the shirts are being ordered until a week on Monday so not in a major rush but dont worry yourself about our badge if you have family issues!

I hope everything is ok and works out for the best.

Ill keep an eye on the thread and see what other designs are produced but im very interested in seeing DPbrad's one without watermarking.

I have spoken to and showed the rest of the team your design DPbrad and there are all really impressed and keen to get it put on our shirts as soon as possible.

Would you be able to remove the watermarks and post up a .zip containing the design in a high resolution .png with a transparent background ?

Liking all of the badges so far.... can I just ask that you do 1 with no ship at the bottom and just make the central anchor a bit bigger so we can see what that looks like then we will be able to make a final decision.
