    Excellent effort from you all.
Unfortunately it seems many of our request-ees don't have the slightest idea of just how much time and effort goes into these graphic creations.

Please keep them in your portfolios peoples (if you have one), as I'm sure we'll get dozens more photography logo requests over the next few weeks.
Business flavour of the month? :)

Sorry esd but being 'busy' is a fairly sad excuse for not commenting, especially when you were the one that made the request that had our members 'busy' with your logo.

    Well said CP.

All of us here have been busy lately too.
The difference is we would not have been inconsiderate and waited 10 days to post a reply.
It really isn't the way you go pro.

Why on earth did you get it done from someone else in the first place?? If you already had someone doing it for you then don't go and find another one. You've basically wasted our time behind it and believe me it doesn't take 2 minutes to create a logo.

What if I called you to do a photoshoot and then called someone else and when you came I told you that 'oh I've already got someone else thanks for coming though' How would you have felt?

I have removed my graphics from your post and will be selling it as a ready-made logo on my site so they won't be available unless another photographer member does appear.

    Cya.

P.S. Let someone know in advance if you are going to cancel out on them. You never know when you'll need them next then they'll just refuse but it will save the anger boiling up.

    Hi MOD's n all

Is there any way this thread can be re-titled "How not to treat people willing to give you help"?

I'm sure some posters' think that this is our job, and not how it really is; others trying to help other in their own spare time.

just as an example for all posters out there; if you were to get a design firm out there to do these graphics, believe me you would be talking on splashing out in the region of (UK = £80 for one design Oz I'm reliably informed 80 -160 aus money, USA $110) so please (and I know a large amount do) show some gratitude and don't treat the designers like slaves!!! we help because we want too, and have the belief others would want to do the same!!!!!!!!!!!! Rant over!!!!!

Well I'm sorry that you feel that I wasted yalls time. That was not the intention. Yes, I HAVE been busy, and by busy I mean doing 18 hours at college. So don't tell me that I haven't. If you people had any since of decent morals, you would know that college is very important. I realize that you guys took a lot of your time out to make these for me, and I deeply do appreciate it. It's just that they weren't what I was looking for. I was NEVER looking elsewhere the entire time for other logos. My friend is just now getting into the whole designing thing and she wanted to give it a try.

    Again, I'm sorry. Goodbye.

I made an attempt of helping someone here to develop a website for his business. After working three days building his website he abruptly removed it and informed me that he didn't like it and sent me a rambling message that it was full of bugs and overall bad designs even though I clearly stated that the work was in progress.

On the other hand, I assisted someone with some minor modification in using one of the FWT templates for his website and he said he can't thank me enough. Fortunately more people are this than the one I encountered above.

At least esd5001 expressed her appreciation in helping her; just that she has her own preference and priority. Best for us to say goodbye and good riddance.

18 hours? so your saying within those 10 days that you didn't reply AT ALL you wer busy every hour of the day that you couldn't take time to sign in to the forum and say a couple of words to let us know that you were busy?

I was in college too when I signed up to the forum. Was a important year yet I was on the forum all the time and running my own business too but I still made time.

If you're saying you can't do this then not sure how you're gonna cope with college and doing this 'photography' thing because I don't think you'll find time to do them both.

If it was 1 or 2 days it would have been fine but 10 days and saying you were busy isn't really an excuse but lets put it at that. You got what you wanted at the end so good on ya.

    Bye

Let's do a little experiment. I'm doing 18 hours of college a week, I'll make a request for something and we'll see if I can't come up with the less-than-5-minutes it take to write a reply.

Well, I won't, as I don't like to waste peoples time. Ahem.
