Legacy Rock Band Logo Required

Hi all , we're an I.T. illiterate rock band with a recording label that is tighter than two coats of paint. We're about to begin our first serious recording sessions for upcoming release but we don't have a logo. At least not one that is complete , concise , easily recognisable etc. This is what we have been using ...

[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']We don't want to appear as a death metal , gore , thrash band etc , the name Flesh & Blood stems from the fact that the core of the band is three brothers , hence Flesh & Blood. So we're not wanting anything too way-out or alienating from the mainstream - we're just an old style rock band. In fact we started as a classic rock covers band (youtube if you wanna see what we used to do), now we're a little heavier. [/FONT]

[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']We like reds , purples , blacks and whites. We like the idea of something slightly feminine to offset the name a little , maybe and angel or hearts or who knows. [/FONT]

I Think it would look good on shirts.....

if you look close or put it on a darker background, it has a fleshy tone behind the word 'Flesh'....hope you like it=)

Sorry Kris , I sent a full response a few days ago but it seems it didn't arrive on the thread. Thought your logo was amazing - the blood is so... real. The lettering is great too. However, as I mentioned before , we are trying to stay away from the gore thing - we're more Stones and AC/DC than W.A.S.P. or Slayer. I think it would be good on t-shirts but it's not for us as a long term logo. Thought we could maybe use the intials F.A.B. in some kind of design if it doesn't work any other way with full wording. Any other ideas ? Luv your spider web design on your website. Appreciate it , Carl.

Give it a try and see what you and your mates think about it. Again this is a scaled down version, and if you like it I will give you one that's good for printing and shirts....

One with a little different type of shadowing and one without, and one with a design in the background.

 

Brilliant ! I like that a lot. Taking it to the rest of the band tomorrow for thoughts. I really like the curvy design in the background as well although I don't think it works where it is; maybe better surrounding the letters rather than underneath I dunno. As for the lettering I really like the one without shading but would like to see the the letters in red with black bordering.

I really really liked the blood spatter, how did you do that? I just hope you didn't slit your wrists over the scanner *lol*

My husband was in a band (years ago) and I tried to do something similar with their logo, it looked like c**p to be honest. So if you feel like sharing your secret, I'm all ears.

 

Hey it's great that you love the splatter, but is is really, really difficult to explain how it's done......

But since I'm a great guy.....I will post a tut on how to do it, but you have to give me a bit to write the technique.....stay tuned!
