Please review the index.html page only (home).

    www.smfdadmin.co.cc

I am still working on all the other pages. The entire site is 100% construction mode. However, if you have opinions or suggestions for the other pages...feel free to give them! At this time i'm done with the index.html however I am going to add some more wording, a site counter, etc in the blank area underneath the "welcome" paragraphs.

(I am worried b/c the main page looks great for me -internet explorer- but it shows up very funky for a friend with firefox)

THANKS! (btw....this is my first site so be easy...lol)

    :D

    Hey, now.
You don't need to bump it so soon.
(Some of us have work and school).

But, anyways, on with that review!

I really like what you did the the template!
But, I've got a few things (that are easy fixes/changes).
    1) Instead of putting the text HERE and making it a link.
Use the text that is already there, for example:
Original: ...however you may view our full calendar HERE.
Changed: ...however you may view our full calendar.

2)The background behind the "list of events" is a different color than the background behind the "total calls" table. I think it would look a little better if they were the same.

Thats all I have for now. I'll post anything else as I come across it!
    Great work, and good luck!

I will change those links, your right it looks alot better to not use the "HERE".
I will play around with the colors tomorrow (re: right side) and see how it turns out!

    Banner a little too tall for 800 x 600
should be able to see navigation bar at bottom (like contact page)
St. Mary's Fire Department - title drives the banner down
Banner Menu Bar (may want to use mouseovers like bottom menu bar -
for color change or dropdown menu)
    -
Bottom menu bar - color change from white to black on red background
(not a good color selection - unless you use a white background when using the black text)
    -
May want to use a flash album display for the Gallery (can be in CSS, flash or Javescript)
    hope this helps

Not too many left who use 800x600.
Every page you have a link to your store you need to change as it takes people away from your site. You want it to open a second window.

    Your code <li class="nlink"><a href="

My general opinion of the website you are creating is very positive. Though, I’ve noticed some things that could be improved.
A picture showing firemen isn’t of the best quality.
There isn’t any space between “view” and “our full calendar.”
The font size is so small that is hard to read.
I’m confused which links I should click in order to support the
St. Marys Volunteer Fire Department )))

    • Thank you for viewing my site and reviewing. I have also notice the crammed space of the event section. I have been meaning to add that space.
    • I will try to increase the font on the main page. Sometimes its hard for me to see it too :)
    • The links you can click on...the wording is above a google ad square. The links in there is what individuals can click on. I will try to word it different. All profits from the advertisers (adsense) will go to the volunteers :)

I will change that once i can get in my office in alittle bit, and I agree i need to make the store a pop-up window. (note: i haven't configured the store yet, but it should turn out pretty neat) Is the code above to make it a pop up? Or do you know the html for making the link open in a new window?

    thanks :)

Thank you for reviewing my site. I appreciate your time and feedback. I will take some time and try to work on the site adding in the advice you have given me, expecially about the colors. I have been looking high and low for a easy to maintain, good looking [free], gallery to add to the site...any recommendations of websites, coding, etc?

    Thank you.
